If we're talking about recovering alien spacecraft, it's certainly understandable that any government would keep such things quiet. The technological advances would be huge and have some serious military implications which I'm sure they wouldn't want other nations finding out about. It would also follow that we might get glimpses of this new technology being tested around various military facilties. I guess we'd also occasionally catch evidence of a government cover up.

When I say top notch I mean people that have been there and seen these things happen and who have the background to prove they were where they say they were and saw what they saw. And not only are they willing to tell their stories, but they have all signed a statement that was given to members of Congress that they are willing to tell their stories under oath!
Most of these people are just tired of holding secrets. That can begin to erode away at the conscience after a while, especially when you see the secret you are helping to maintain keep valuable information from everyone. How long would you be able to do that.
I also have my doubts about Steven Greer at times. But if you think about the whole project it's not hard to see how this got going. He may be strange at times, but he has the motivation to keep this whole thing going. He collected these people and pulled them together. If I were keeping a secret and he came to me saying he had another hundred or so credible witnesses who wanted to tell their story just like I did, then I would look over his quirkiness and probably join the group. I would tend to think that our credibility would overshadow his tendency to be controversial. But, like I said, you have to admire Steven Greer's energy and devotion to get this whole group together.

A couple of items that some of you might already know about...
1) The president of India Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, who is literally a rocket scientist, made a stunning announcement about two years ago...he said that he could no longer hide the truth about UFOs from his people and called upon all nations to come forward and tell what they knew about UFOs as well. My point is that we really have no way of verifying who those people actually are. When you say "top notch" how do you know that those witnesses have actually been there? How do you know that they have ramembered the events acurately if they have been there? You do not.
What I'm saying is that all you have is a video from a guy who claimed over 5 years ago that he will present up with an undeniable proof that there is a government cover-up of contact with extra-terrestrial beings. So far, I have not seen anything undeniable nor have I seen any proof. What I have heard are some interesting stories.
As far as telling the story under oath, I wonder if you know just how many innocent people there are in jails across the world, or even in the US alone. I'm sure that most of them got their due to witness accounts under oath.

I've been looking things up all night, and I've found some weird stuff.
I think that Nikola Tesla may be partly responcible for attracting aliens to us. I say that joking, but I don't think I am. The guy did some pretty incredible things. To say he was ahead of his time is a gross understatement. Anyways, he apparently picked up radio signals from space. Had something to do with the planets. I think he sent something out as well. Buzz Aldrin has admitted to seeing something in space that was unknown. I think that Russia had satalites in space that the US was unaware of. Tesla aparently gave Russia information on partical beam technology, and Russia build a star wars type system in space; they may have caused a black out in New York in the late 40's or so. Think Haark array. Tesla created the technology for the star wars project in the 30's; that's crazy.
Considering some of the things that happend in the 30's and 40's it makes sence to me if an intelligent species able to travel great distance would take an interest in our planet around those times. It also coinsides with some of the first UFO sightings.
US air force pilots have reported during WW2 seeing things that they couldn't explain. Craft that moved faster then anything we had at the time. There were beliefs that Hitler was researching technology during WW2 that no one had ever seen before. There is also a documentary in Russian about the Germans during WW2 and Antartica. From what I could gather from it, Germany was researching things in Antartica, and it was believed that Hitler had access to alien technology.

I'll say this. I made a thread called 47 billion light years away. In 2003 the Hubble telescope, over the course of 11 days, photographed the universe 47 billion light years away. In the photo are some 10k galaxies. In '95 hubble photographed 3k galaxies. There are currently 200 located planets, I said 170 before, but appently that was wrong. In 2008 NASA will launch a new telescope into space that will look for earth sized planets.
13k known galaxies and that's not even the tip of the iceburg! If you think we're alone in the universe your nuts. 13k galaxies with BILLIONS of stars in each of them. The number of solar systems in the universe is astranomical, pun intended. We're not alone. There is other intelligent life out there, and you need not look any further then yourself. We are here, and if we are here, then it has to go without saying that there are others. NOTHING in this universe is unigue. NOTHING. Everything in the universe repeats itself. Not a single unique occurrance has been found in the universe. No one of anything. I can't stress that enough.
Regardless of how everything got here. God, evolution, the big bang, whatever, it's here. And I really do believe that other beings have been to our kneck of the woods. Not just been, but remained. If you could travel the cosmos and found other intelligent life on another planet, wouldn't you watch them, and if you had set up shop near another planet were would you do it? The moon would be a dandy little place.
Normally I'm a bit leery of shows about people "coming out", so to speak, about UFOs. It's not that I don't believe they exist, it's the professional disinformation crackpots that have always put me off, guys like that old wack job who wore a native american headdress and claimed to be taken to another planet (old black and white interview I'm sure some of you have seen). I believe some people are actually hired to make everyone else look crazy.
It's arrogant to think that in this universe, or even this galaxy, we're the only sentient life forms, or the smartest, god would have to be a real stoner if we were the most intelligent life form he or she could come up with.
I think what they really want to cover up is that they're willing to capture and kill anything that lands here just to steal technologies, they'll hide it because they know that people would protest it plus they want to make money off what they find. I know there will be a few tinfoil hat comments about that but we've made some serious leaps in the last 50 years that go a touch beyond normal progress. The best example in my opinion is memory metal. The very first description of that type of material comes from the Roswell incident, a foil like material was described that, when crumpled up, would resume it's shape, a few decades later and we're making similar materials.
There's probably a number of other good examples but to me that one is the best recorded, the biggest motivator for the human race is greed. There's plenty of people who'd sell their own mother if the profit was good enough, hell we even had a game about doing it, remember X-Com? (DOS Microprose game series). You hunted down aliens, stole their goods, researched, manufactured, and funded your black ops with what you sold.
So someday if and when we've pissed off enough aliens and they come to fry the planet, don't bother to ask why, just point them to the CIA, or your own government's version, and of course the businesses selling the tech (like maybe all your little handheld goodies), sit back, grab a beer, and watch the fireworks.

If I were keeping a secret and he came to me saying he had another hundred or so credible witnesses who wanted to tell their story just like I did, then I would look over his quirkiness and probably join the group. I would tend to think that our credibility would overshadow his tendency to be controversial. But, like I said, you have to admire Steven Greer's energy and devotion to get this whole group together.
Who knows, if this group begins to take off and puts pressure on the people that need to hear it, then maybe someone who is less controversial than Steven Greer will come along to take the reigns. But I wouldn't judge the whole group by just one member. If even one of those people is telling the truth (and I believe its much more than that) then there is something phenomenal going on here!

A couple of items that some of you might already know about...
1) The president of India Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, who is literally a rocket scientist, made a stunning announcement about two years ago...he said that he could no longer hide the truth about UFOs from his people and called upon all nations to come forward and tell what they knew about UFOs as well. There was a big article about it in The Times of India...but it seems to have been buried since then; the article disappeared at about the same time that the US offered India a multi-billion dollar nuclear power plant deal.
2) A retired Air Force officer, who was stationed at Roswell Army Air Field (now known as Walker AFB) in 1947, held a press conference a few years ago just before he died. He blasted the US government for trying to ruin the lives of the people who knew about the UFO crash and called upon the government to come clean about the entire Roswell affair. "Give all the information to the young people...and let them decide." he said. I can't remember the mans name so if anyone remembers this press conference or knows this mans name, lemme know.

My point is that we really have no way of verifying who those people actually are. When you say "top notch" how do you know that those witnesses have actually been there? How do you know that they have ramembered the events acurately if they have been there? You do not.
What I'm saying is that all you have is a video from a guy who claimed over 5 years ago that he will present up with an undeniable proof that there is a government cover-up of contact with extra-terrestrial beings. So far, I have not seen anything undeniable nor have I seen any proof. What I have heard are some interesting stories.
As far as telling the story under oath, I wonder if you know just how many innocent people there are in jails across the world, or even in the US alone. I'm sure that most of them got their due to witness accounts under oath.

I've been looking things up all night, and I've found some weird stuff.
I think that Nikola Tesla may be partly responcible for attracting aliens to us. I say that joking, but I don't think I am. The guy did some pretty incredible things. To say he was ahead of his time is a gross understatement. Anyways, he apparently picked up radio signals from space. Had something to do with the planets. I think he sent something out as well. Buzz Aldrin has admitted to seeing something in space that was unknown. I think that Russia had satalites in space that the US was unaware of. Tesla aparently gave Russia information on partical beam technology, and Russia build a star wars type system in space; they may have caused a black out in New York in the late 40's or so. Think Haark array. Tesla created the technology for the star wars project in the 30's; that's crazy.
Considering some of the things that happend in the 30's and 40's it makes sence to me if an intelligent species able to travel great distance would take an interest in our planet around those times. It also coinsides with some of the first UFO sightings.
US air force pilots have reported during WW2 seeing things that they couldn't explain. Craft that moved faster then anything we had at the time. There were beliefs that Hitler was researching technology during WW2 that no one had ever seen before. There is also a documentary in Russian about the Germans during WW2 and Antartica. From what I could gather from it, Germany was researching things in Antartica, and it was believed that Hitler had access to alien technology.

I'll say this. I made a thread called 47 billion light years away. In 2003 the Hubble telescope, over the course of 11 days, photographed the universe 47 billion light years away. In the photo are some 10k galaxies. In '95 hubble photographed 3k galaxies. There are currently 200 located planets, I said 170 before, but appently that was wrong. In 2008 NASA will launch a new telescope into space that will look for earth sized planets.
13k known galaxies and that's not even the tip of the iceburg! If you think we're alone in the universe your nuts. 13k galaxies with BILLIONS of stars in each of them. The number of solar systems in the universe is astranomical, pun intended. We're not alone. There is other intelligent life out there, and you need not look any further then yourself. We are here, and if we are here, then it has to go without saying that there are others. NOTHING in this universe is unigue. NOTHING. Everything in the universe repeats itself. Not a single unique occurrance has been found in the universe. No one of anything. I can't stress that enough.
Regardless of how everything got here. God, evolution, the big bang, whatever, it's here. And I really do believe that other beings have been to our kneck of the woods. Not just been, but remained. If you could travel the cosmos and found other intelligent life on another planet, wouldn't you watch them, and if you had set up shop near another planet were would you do it? The moon would be a dandy little place.

Normally I'm a bit leery of shows about people "coming out", so to speak, about UFOs. It's not that I don't believe they exist, it's the professional disinformation crackpots that have always put me off, guys like that old wack job who wore a native american headdress and claimed to be taken to another planet (old black and white interview I'm sure some of you have seen). I believe some people are actually hired to make everyone else look crazy.
It's arrogant to think that in this universe, or even this galaxy, we're the only sentient life forms, or the smartest, god would have to be a real stoner if we were the most intelligent life form he or she could come up with.
I think what they really want to cover up is that they're willing to capture and kill anything that lands here just to steal technologies, they'll hide it because they know that people would protest it plus they want to make money off what they find. I know there will be a few tinfoil hat comments about that but we've made some serious leaps in the last 50 years that go a touch beyond normal progress. The best example in my opinion is memory metal. The very first description of that type of material comes from the Roswell incident, a foil like material was described that, when crumpled up, would resume it's shape, a few decades later and we're making similar materials.
There's probably a number of other good examples but to me that one is the best recorded, the biggest motivator for the human race is greed. There's plenty of people who'd sell their own mother if the profit was good enough, hell we even had a game about doing it, remember X-Com? (DOS Microprose game series). You hunted down aliens, stole their goods, researched, manufactured, and funded your black ops with what you sold.
So someday if and when we've pissed off enough aliens and they come to fry the planet, don't bother to ask why, just point them to the CIA, or your own government's version, and of course the businesses selling the tech (like maybe all your little handheld goodies), sit back, grab a beer, and watch the fireworks.
