Pretty surprising since the Singaporean one is in pretty good english.

It's funny to think that the NA version is worse off.

Well what changes have they implemented to fix the grinding, anything at all?

Actually K2 said the current client does not have their full translations or text yet but it will be patched in durning beta.  So... there appearantly is more than what we are seeing.

Check the launcher to see what I am talking about.

Also, this version is farther along than sgGE. 2.1.18.  It looks like the election system is in...

I also dig the new outfits when creating a character... there may be an afk blocker as well... I got kicked from the server while I was writing this...

I think they hired someone with elementary skill in english (that of a grade 1 student) in doing the translation it's funny. But I can guess Korean just don't translate too well to english especially if you use an auto translator.

Well even some parts of the sGE are still in korean, however I do believe they shouldn't have even released the game if major parts of it weren't translated. I'm assuming so close to release that everyone is still low level, there for I believe at least all the low level spots should have been translated....at least.  While it's still closed beta I believe there is still alot to change and before it's all over everything will be in English and the major bugs might be fixed.

I 100% agree with this post.  But... if they had the choice to wait on beta or release with bad translation... I think releasing now is an interesting choice.

I mean... it IS beta... they still do have time to make changes.. but with all the BS with the sgGE english... I don't know.  It was an interesting choice.  I bet FP had something to do with it as well.  As I said elsewhere, as long as it is fixed by the time I ACTUALLY pay, I don't care.

I don't know why they even bothered re-translating it.  The translation thats actually translated is just... horrible.  You can't understand what any of the quests are, because the translation is so bad.  Its worse then engrish.

I gotta love the mistranslations... it gives me little giggles... my favorite so far is "Quit is (mis)translated as Program Completion"  LOL... at least they got "Log-out" right ...  most of the quest gives you a geist of what you're suppose to do so I suppose it's not that bad altho trying to read the backstory of the game by conversing with the npcs is next to impossible as most of the sentences are a jumble of words that absolutely makes no sense.

Since English is much more lengthy than Korean a lot of the buttons and text areas are simply not large enough to hold all of the text. There are several parts of the game where the text goes beyond and under other controls and can't be read, or it is cropped at the edge of the buttons.

There are in-game screen shots used for the tutorial that are entirely in Korean.

The quality of the translation is poor all around.

Like boomer said, the launcher states they are working on it.  Some tutorial pics are in korean and mind you now that this is only pre beta, so there are still bugs and they would not dare release this stuff in the full game because they would instanlty be ripped to shreds and loose tons of players.  Who wants a p2p game that has been bought officially from store shelves with poor translation!

Hold it guys, didn't you read the offical forums and the beta test notes. The transilations are currently there number one task, what you have right now is a "first run, get it out the door so english people can test it for us" version. It even says on the loading screen for the patcher that they are working cleaning up the translations, reworking the story and fixing the korean text on the titorial and other screens. So with that said I think we all need to take it down a notch before we go attacking K2. Lets let them actualy release the game before we grab our riot pitchforks and torches... so just clam it down and give them a chance. Though do keep those pitchforks and torches ready... you never know when we'll need to right... till then, just grab an ale in your local tavern and have some fun with the game untill beta is over.
