Game Error Please help!!

in Guild Wars
When I start the game it says, Guild Wars is unable to connect to ArenaNet network please verify that your internet is working, or try again in a few minutes.   Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Check that your Internet connection is working properly, and that your firewall isn't blocking Guild Wars from connecting. Other than that, it's hard to say what your problem could be based on the information you provided.

    Well, since he posted this topic, I'm gonna say that his internet is working. Probably firewall then, if not that, then it could be any of a number of other problems. Check the self help guide at www.guildwars.com as it has a fairly complete list of things to check.

    Did it give you an error number?



    The closest thing that I can think of that's happened to me was a code 58, I believe. Said to check router etc etc and the problem turned out to be that my .dat file somehow got corrupted.

    So make sure you check that also.

    I wouldnt agree, - theres been many times certain sites have worked and others havent, or sites worked and games havent..



    it could be routing issues, dns issues  - anything like that...

    Or he could be using someone elses computer. Maybe even something like the Wii or PSP.
