Faction how does it work on DAoC?

GetsomeGetsome Member Posts: 52

So a buddy of mine let me borrow his 50 Bone Dancer to help power level my 24 skald. I went to a dungeon called spind but when I conned the mobs they were all friendly with me.

So my question can I still level the place to lvl the skald or do i need to hunt somewhere else so as not to lose faction on the BD?

    Hiya

If that is the place recommended to you for powerleveling and they are yellow/orange to your bonedancer go for it. If your character is 24 and the con of the mobs are yellow to your bonedancer it will be a long time before you will be going to that dungeon alone and by that time they will be at your level anyway.

And besides you will be gaining faction somewhere else :)

So stop worrying and go for it :)

Daoc is still the best mmorpg /sniff

    A story for you...

When peeps hit 30 they would go to the barrows dungeon (albion) to group. There used to be a mob called the templar who would walk around with 2 cleric wenches on tow with him. He was neutral to everyone so everyone was careful not to accidently hit him. Obviously mistakes happen and he would get hit and he and his entourage would kill us all. As a player who had a cleric and a paladin it was my task at lvl 43 (i think) to kill him. It would scare me to death thinking i would have to kill him but with a few mates did it.

Eventually when my paladin hit 50 i would solo the templar to help mates with the cleric/templar part of there epic =)

hehe don't worry about faction :)

Most faction in DAOC is easily correctible.  However, there are some factions that are more valuable than others.  Check with your friend before you ruin his faction in that dungeon.  There may be other places he travels where having that particular good faction is important.

I think if you can find a trollkarl room or  you make it far enough down to cave trows those are all aggressive. I think the rest of faction in spin with the grasshopper people (that is what I think they look like:P) arachites or whatever is fixed by killing werewolves.

There are a couple of crab rooms in there but the mobs may be too low for the BD to PL.

At that level though Spin or DF is probably two of the better places. Maybe the harpies on the Hermes island out in TOA?

normaly u have arachite aggro at your lvl i think. so u have to kill them. anyway there is no faction that is important since Malmo is useless.
