To late to come back?

Has the game died yet or is it possible for an old player to return and still have fun? My main concern is the population and getting groups, seeing how old the game is I imagine the population has dropped way way down. Anyone thats still playing mind informing me of the status ingame lately?

Never to late!!!!   but ied try a classic server if your gona start over again way more pop and dont have to worry bout all the TOA stuff to actually be good..( its hard to compete with the hardcore players if you dont have the best of everything on a TOA server) as long as you learn play your chara well and have fun you should have a great  time.

Game is still quite alive if you ask me. on either the classic server cluster or the large TOA server cluster there is sometimes 3000+ people playing at a time.  which you could compare to WoW servers having 2000 or less per server, and thats considered a very healthy game.

It's true the population overall had dropped significantly, but that hasn't changed the epic siege wars, its common on weekends to have 500 or more raiding relics and defending.

PVE is still very active as well, theres very little discrimination when it comes to grouping or raiding bosses, if a dragon raid is announced or you hear word of, theres a good chance they'll pick you up and take you along if you ask. Leveling has been made somewhat trival, grouping isn't  really required anymore, you get 200% XP for fighting in an open PVP zone... frontiers, darkness falls, labyrinth, battlegrounds etc.. and for 41-50 there are quests you can do that makes these "hell levels" a breeze... even gaining 100-500g for every time you complete them.
