Ok, I have read through somethings, and I have some questions, I'll be a british naval officer, since pirates get to keep getting more and more ships, can the brits get more ships aswell, as in the player... Also as in the animations, are the British soldiers/sailors on the ship in britsh uniform?
Man I can't wait this game seems SOOOOOOOOO awesome....

Anyone can buy extra ships in the form of deeds. Pirates have the ability to capture enemy ships and use them as their own. Purchased ships will have an amount of durability (number of times it can be sunk or lost before it disappears forever) whereas captured ships will get only 1 durability, so they are lost forever the first time they are sunk. A player can have 4 active ships (3 in drydock and 1 they are sailing) and an unlimited number of deeds which can be turned in for new ships assuming you have the spare drydock space.
As for your second question: judging from screenshots, I don't think you will see a lot of your crew in uniform if any. Pretty much only the officers and any marines on board would have some type of uniform. The rest of the crew pretty much wore whatever clothing they had or could scavenge.
Yes, See when you engage in Boarding Actions with you get a a set amount of reinforcements and I believe a max of 20-25 marines on the deck fight with you. Now a reinforcement point can be used to refresh your number back to the max but if u have 22 and use it to get back to 25 then you will have theoretically wasted a point as it only got back 3 marines for your 1 point. When your captain is defeated in combat it burns a full point as well so taking out the enemy Captain is very good as taking on 1 captain is easier than 1 captain and 25 men. Now you do only have a set crew amount so using all your points can be very destructive on your crew. Also when you use all your points and win then next boarding will leave you pointless. You crew size depends on your ship and you can only board a ship if you have 1/2 of his max crew and vice-versa. (although this might just be for Ships-of-the-Line)
Hope this helps somewhat.
