Oh I think it's time for a comeback

With my recent departue from the much hated WoW... god I spent way too much time playing that... I'm in search of a "new" game.

I've played DAoC on release, WAY back when, and now I think I'm headin back.  This game was always the one I compared others against in terms of PVP... and coming back, that's what I'm after.

So, my questions are as follows:

1) Classic Servers are the way to go from what I hear.  Once I farm my ass to 50 quick (along with a friend), will we be able to spend a good 3-4hours a night purely PVPing if we desire?  Can that keep us busy/entertained completely, or is there simply not enough people to keep me occupied?

2) Which realm to choose?  Is there one that is underpopulated compared to the others?  I was always Hib, but have absolutely no preference.  I just want to be able to a) find a group with some amount of ease and b) have a lot of people to kill when I get 50.

3) With regards to #2, on any given side.. which class is the most sought after?  I will be playing the majority of my time as a duo, but would like to be able to find a group for PVP.  I don't think I have it in me to heal another game.. I'll leave that to whatever I play next.  I need to get my kill on, this WoW binge has completely destroyed my former PVP needs.

I honestly didn't think that I needed to explain myself to retards like you as to why I have particular feelings towards a game.  I asked a few simple questions, and I guess I should have inserted the fact that I would be playing on a US server. But I guess since I'm bored at work, I have some time to respond to your idiocracy.

I hated WoW long before I played it... and I hate myself for actually playing it.  It was a last resort, and was only used as a time filler for one of the new age games to come out. I find it funny how people assume the worst case scenario and make generalizations... but for the record, I spent a fair ammount of time in WoW... especially recently, leveling two characters to 70 since TBC released and being an active member in a high end raid guild.  So, it's not like I haven't experienced all of the game, it's just that (OMG) I didn't enjoy it enough!

I quit DAoC a hell of a long time ago, why? To go back to EQ1 and play with some RL friends. And then I went back to DAoC for a bit, and then the "new" games came out and I chose EQ2, and then went to WoW. Being 6 years later, I assumed the game wasn't worth coming back to, but from what I've read on the classic servers I may have been mistaken.. so that's why I've asked for some info.

Now I thank you for actually putting in some decent information at the end there, and it's a shame that it applied towards EU servers.

All I'm asking for is someone that's not a jackass to respond with their opinions on Classic server gameplay, and I thank you all in advance for your input, even the guy above.

    1.  There is no need to go to the Classic Servers anymore.  I can't think of any reason other than if you play during off hours.  ToA can all be done by a group or less.  You can use bountry points to by credit and scrolls.  Things are much better now.

    2.  Mid is usually the underdog on every cluster for population.

    3.  I have no idea, but people always like and need healers.
