Snow Crash MMO

I'd hit it.

I would love a game with parallel worlds, in this case offline and online.

In the book some people coded there own weapons and objects, I think this could be simulated with a complicated and very customizable skill system.

The closest you're going to get is Determinance. It's a fighting game and not an MMO though. There also aren't that many people playing it online anymore either.

I liked the movie but making an MMO out of it. I don't think so.

What? there is such a thing as a snow crash movie?

I loved the book.  I love the book so much I do not think any movie or video game could live up to the snow crash that I have already envisioned in my mind.

It's funny to see this. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the book now. I think it would be difficult to make a good movie that captures the feel. It would be even harder for a game.

The rights to the Snow Crash movie were bought shortly after the book hit it big, but it would have taken a quadrillion dollars to actually make the movie so nothing ever come of it.

I always thought if Snow Crash were to made into a game it would be an RTS/Sim Business type of thing. Maybe a MMORTS. Yes, compete against thousands of other players worldwide in realtime for the NPC consumers.

And a Metaverse part? Don't know.
