    FYI this IS NOT Granado Espada by IAH the CLOSED BETA is for Sword of the New World: Granado Espada by K2 looks the same game but features and payment methords may differ how much is unknown yet, luckly you can access both to compare..

    Please correct the topic title, it may not seem much difference but it don't help having practally the same game 'betaing' in two diffrent areas with two diffrent titles but diffrentces in the games at once.. Confused yet?

    Bring on the WARRRRGGHH!

    Searched this string out and brought it back because this game is worth a look.  I am not sure if it is the same thing being referred to in the 28 page string about a certain Korean game but I do know that the link the op sends you to is a place anyone looking for something to do should check out. 

    I say make your own call on this one.

    Yeah, sorry, it's a Fileplanet members only thing and I feel you on not wanting to pay to test, if you already have that kind of account with them though it is worth the look.

    As for who it belongs to I honestly have no idea hehehe.  I guess there are a couple of different versions in test by some different people.  This is the only one I've played and this one IMHO is worth a look.

    If you want to play the GE version of the game, just go to the game site, register for beta and download the game.  You don't need to pay.  You don't need to be a fileplanet member.



    There are a number of mirrors.  I don't remember which I used, but the one I used had immediate downloads and filled my cable bandwidth.

    Ok, I'm very confused. So there's two games with about the same name that also look the same?

    I'm not completely sure of the reasons, but seems to me that the creator of GE wanted to bring the game to the Western market.  They decided to 'Westernize' the game in order to attract customers.



    Is there a definitive FAQ or forum thread somewhere that addresses why there are two versions and lists the differences?

    Although both versions are in English, the one published by IAH is aimed at some asian countries, like Singapure.

    The version published by K2 is aimed at the North American and European market.



    AFAIK, the differences between the two are mainly unknown, along with the subscription model.

    Whatever you do, don't give K2 any credit card information, you will rue the day you did that.

    You should stop acting like K2 network is a company that does nothing but scamming. I think its time you stop your childish crusade. IMC games and Webzen are the some of the biggest MMO companies in Asia, and both have a high reputation. Now lets stop and think for a second, would such such high profile companies really let their games publish by a company that is known for scamming? Ofcourse not.



    Please don't make some silly comeback with "But they made a mistake with my credit card once". I can give you credit card issues with every MMO company. Blizzard, Mythic, Squareenix, you name. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN, get over yourself.

    Anyway being a EU player and playing both atm Sword is the least polished of the two.. even tho GE isn't aimed at the westen market, it's got a much better translation to it, the K2 verson saldy seems rushed and only seems minor graftical and UI changes (mainly in the character screen, also 'unlocks' some rare outfits that you have to find in GE 'woot?')..

    As it stands if you can deal with the lag at peak times and until the price plan is actally out play the IAH verson, it's much better atm
