So I signed for my Closed - Beta Key, How long should It take?

in Pirates of the Burning Sea

Okay I signed up for the Closed Beta key. They ask so many questions in the register section  Like, Why do you want to test this game? Or which MMO's have you played before? and so on

I registered succesfully, and my question is, more or less, how long should it take?

    Somewhere between 1 hour and never.  Closed betas don't guarantee acceptance.

    Yes but they said they will Enlarge the number of players who can play the closed beta, and  they said this a few days ago, its not like in a few days 500k players will sign up

    I have been signed up since Feb 06, and havent got in.  I wouldnt expect anything until they expand the beta in late June.

    I have been signed up since they let us first sign up for beta and if I'm not mistaked i belive it was in 2004. So you may have a long wait if you dont meet their in demand curentials. Sorry for the bad news fellas.

    You guys who have been waiting for a long time have obviously been passed over. My friend applied last month and got accepted already and is testing as we speak.

    I would imagine that for the closed beta they were looking for specific people, with specific experience and gaming time available.  I've been signed on since Feb as well and haven't heard a thing either.  however, I'm looking forward to the open beta in Late June.

    You may never get into closed beta.

    They have been extreamly selective so far. They mentioned in a post, that only people in the PoTBS community that have been very involved with the devs and that built 3D ships that were accepted for inclusion in the game were in closed beta at this time.

    The want real testers, not people that want to try the game.

    think this is one i had beta tested in on the first phase, took me about 24 hours or less if I remember correctly..



    But then again, having experiance under your belt beta testing does help... ><

    a long time man. i know you are new and all, but unless you have some friends on the dev team u gotta' be lucky to get a key. lots of people sign up. they look for different demographics though and try to meet certain amounts of people from the ones they want. all those questions you answer effect your chances of gettin' in.

    I am not 18 so I can't even register so stop complaining <_< although I should be able to register if the beta extends into July. I have Beta Tested other games from Runescape 2 to WoW so I guess have some kind of Beta experience =)
