play with your monitors wires a bit.  it happens to me at school when it isn't in all the way, or a pin isn't touching right..

then try some monitor settings and maybe a degause though I doubt that will do anything

Go to the store and buy a can of red spray paint.  Paint the front of your monitor red so that you do not see the blue anymore.  You like red right?

I've never had this happen to me, but it's probably either the monitor or your vid card not working properly, not sure how a dvd would have screwed either up, though.

Try right clicking your desktop, select Properties and see if there are any new tabs there, if you installed new software with the DVD it may have added a tab or more. Default tabs list is "Themes - Desktop - Screen Saver - Appearance - Settings" look to see if there's a new tab and if it has something called "Gamma Correct" on it, if so try adjusting it.

Have you solved your problem? Maybe the connection between your Video card (if you dont have a onboard video) and your system unit is loose or anything else the wire must be damage or bend... I think you better replaced the wired if it's embedded on the monitor .... You must be a good solder....

Problem is you havent told us much at all.

What kind of computer do you have.

    What cpu do you have

    what ram do you have

what graphics card and how old is it

    What operating system is it.

This would help us a bit also if you could tell us how you connected your DvD drive too could help.

Try removing whatever you put in to see if it gets back to normal or not.

If it does, then there is definately something wrong with the procedure of how u put the new hardware in.

If it doesn't, you can try look for other monitor or display card to test.

All these procedures I am suggesting is just trying to find out what is the problem.

Sounds to me like while you were in the PC, you may have knocked the vid card loose a bit or the cable to the monitor.  Been doing hardware for years and when a monitor starts displays in only a couple colors, it's a pretty short list of possible issues.  Re-seat the vid card.  Refasten the cables.  You can pull the power off the new DVD (it's faster and easier than taking it clear out) just to make sure, but in my experience I've never run across a way for an optical drive to limit what colors the monitor is displaying.

    Hope it helps.

well....your Operation is certainly Windows Xp

CPU is the chip..Is it Intel ( duo core??) or AMD.

So the game is not the problem right???It doesnt have virus or anything like that.

I would suggest the pin is probably bent or broken or the RGB cable....also try to stick it to another monitor using different RGB cable....if it still persist that means it's the machine not the monitor.

If you did what the other people above suggested (opened your case back up, made sure your video card is seated into the slot correctly, ensured the cable from the video card to your monitor is secured on tightly), you probably shorted something out on the video card when you were inside of your case adding/removing the DVD ROM drive.
