Can Exiles buy PvP gear?

Me and a friend that played EQ2 back when the PvP server first came out are thinking about getting back into it. Before, you couldn't get PvP gear as an Exile. Have they changed this?

    no. Exiles were never meant to be a faction, and there are no plans to treat them as one.

    To buy PvP gear you have to have a positive faction with either good or evil's PvP faction (lucanic knights and the other one) and exiles don't have one of these, so I guess the answer is no.
