I am so glad I quit this game before my free period ended. The only fun part I liked was the Monster play. And now with the latest patch it looks like they have Nerfed the monsters into the ground. It was already impossible for a monster to kill a freep 1 vs 1. And you already heard about group of 20+ creeps getting mowed over by 10 freeps. But now with these changes the monsters will not stand a chance. The only one that got a buff was the spider monster. But that will not help them out enough to compensate for all the other monsters getting nerfed.

Also, what was a blast was once a week getting to take over a castle due to a server reset. They have taken that away now.

Good luck to all that still play. I'm sure some of you are having a blast leveling up your toon. It just wasn't the game for me.

    Best of luck to you...

Just the other day a raid of creeps wiped a raid of freeps (24 vs 24) multiple times, its hard but its not impossible.

    • Overall
      • Some high-effectiveness skills have had their power costs increased A rebalance (nerf?)
      • Some skills were not being affected by the Disarm or Ranged Suppression debuffs and now are. A fix
      • The recovery timer on the "Odorous Salts" and "Solvent of Painful Freedom" has been reduced from 5 minutes to 2 minutes. An Improvement
      • The cost of tracking charms and talismans has been significantly reduced. An improvement
    • Spider Weaver:
      • The Spider has learned to spit! She now has a ranged auto-attack and 'Tainted Bite' is now 'Tainted Kiss' and is usable at range! 'Tainted Kiss' has also become more deadly. (Sometimes I feel I've got to run away, I've got to get away...) An improvement.
      • The Weaver's "Trapdoor Sanctuary" has gotten better. Now the spider can stay below ground for up to 60s (but can leave sanctuary earlier if she wishes). An improvement.
      • The Spider Weaver's out-of-combat-only ambush skill "Lie in Wait" now has a shorter recovery time and allows the spider to stay underground for up to 15 minutes before emerging. An improvement
      • Weavers, like their spider-brethren, now have a slightly enhanced chance to detect stealth An improvement
    • Orc Reaver:
      • Reaver base damage has been improved by approximately 5% An improvement.
      • The recovery timer on the Orc Reaver's "Resilience" has

been reduced from 3 minutes to 1 minute. An improvement.
    • Uruk Blackarrow:
      • Blackarrow base damage has been lowered by about 5% A rebalance (nerf?)
      • "Flaming Arrow" was dealing damage twice on application, now only the effect deals an initial, larger burst than its subsequent damage ticks. A fix
      • The Blackarrow's "Enhanced Skill: Hindering Shot" trait

will now enhance the base skills so that it applies both a short root and the normal movement speed debuff as was intended. A fix
      • The Uruk Blackarrow's ranged auto-attack was usable while moving, but should not have been. This has been fixed. A fix
    • Warg Stalker
      • The Stalker's "Sprint" skill recovery time is increased

from 5m --> 10m (reduced back to 5m with a trait). A rebalance (nerf?) Questionable with trait.
    • Uruk Warleader:
      • The power cost of his group heal has been reduced An improvement.

Yeah, they REALLY nerfed the monster players into the ground...what a laughable statement. Out of 16 adjustments to Monster Play,  only two (possibly three) might be considered nerfs.  Nine adjustments are improvements, and four are fixes.

For completeness sake, here's the rest of the fixes to MP.

Monster players completing the tier five deed for defeating Burglar players will now properly see an alert when the Deed is complete.
Monster players who complete the tier four Deed "Slay the Enemies of Angmar" will now unlock only the tier five deed, not the tier five, six and seven Deeds.
We discovered that the leaders of Angmar's Army only valued the defeat of the Free Peoples' leaders as a level one Deed. This has been adjusted to the fitting level of 50.
Guard-Captain Unnarr has decided to no longer appear in multiple places in Thorin's Hall when certain portions of the Ettenmoors were being controlled by the Free Peoples.
Fixed a bug that was preventing some food from increasing out-of-combat vital regeneration rates for monster players.
Increased the range and amount of items that can be found inside the Chest of Glâin Vraig (Ettenmoors reward chest).
Map notes in the Ettenmoors for keep control now contain the name of the location.
Added race and class to monster play character panel.

Updates to social UI for monster play. No more fellowship references.

Monster play icons will now show up in the grouping panel tooltips.

Time to awaken after a PvMP defeat is now the same as a normal defeat.

I had to correct the obvious mis-statements of this poster.

Yep.  It requires the creep players to be very skilled. Obviously those who can't compete will leave and blame the game rather than themselves.

I hate to be an ass but you haven't a clue of what you're talking about.  Tired of people reporting false information.

    Good day.

I like the patch, so far in guild chat all I have seen are 99.9% positive comments. Just made 35 on my main and doing the quests for a mount tomorrow. Overall I still enjoy the game and have no regrets of the lifetime deal purchase. The gane is not for everyone, but then what game is *shrug*

    I miss DAoC

Didnt get to play for to long right after the patch but i read the notes and havent seen or heard anything bad about it.  Alll in all i think they fixed 75% of what needed fixed right away and did a very good job adding new content.

P.S.  If this were a blizzard patch we wouldnt be able to comment cause we wouldnt get to actually play it till 3 days later when it actually ran correctly.

We'll you'll be glad to know then that the next content patch (supposedly in a few months) is focused entirely on Monster Play. Apparently it adds two new purchasable-classes - A Ranger of the North and a Troll - should be pretty epic.

The patch is great. But wow was that fast. Turbine looks like it cares Or they just rushed it. Whatever, good enough for me.
