MMORPGs are definitely on the increase. These days, there isn't just a select few to choose from, but a whole range of choices. Recently, more and more MMORPGs have been released, giving players a far improved choice. This is brilliant of course, and I enjoy MMORPGs as much as the next player, but do you think there needs to be a split of the MMORPG genre from RPGs?
Visiting the RPG sections on websites these days are often populated with news regarding the latest changes and releases of MMORPGs, but there is somewhat a lack of single player RPGs, where, for me, the role playing and story elements are more engrosing, as developers obviously find it easier to accompany for a single player, than 1000s of players.
What do you think about it? I'd like to here any thoughts on this. Thanks.
(PS: I posted another message on the same topic before, but I don't think it actually posted, so, sorry if I'm creating another similar topic - I can't find my other)

I enjoy MMORPG's. But sometimes I like to play single player. And I do notice that the singleplayer games have a more interesting story. But, I tend to like MMORPG's better, because even though the story given to you by the developer may not be all that great, if you find a decent bunch of players you can have a blast. When I'm with a bunch of people who aren't worried about that next level, and want to explore or dungeon crawl and roleplay at the sametime...it's the best gaming expierience in the world for me.
