Favorite MMO, in your opinion

Ok, so, this is purely based on your opinion and i know I'm asking for trouble when I ask this, BUT, I'm asking you loyal player out there to tell my which mmo(s) you feel is/are your favorite.  This is not to be arumentative, not a competition.  I simply ask because I'm losing taste for WoW even on a new server and looking for something new, and wanting honest opinion, not a bunch of arguing.  I'd like to hear your reasons why your pick is the best for you, not the best in general.  If you feel that your game is the best game ever, thats all well and fine, keep it to yourself, I'm just asking for your favorite.  Please, Please don't mock or put down other peoples games.  thank you.

My list are:

Final Fantasy 11: becasue of a great story, very nice graphics (for the engine it ran on) and freedome to play any class.  though, i didn't like a lot of the player base nor how long it could take to level, i still have a like of this game.

Everquest:  because it was my start, and i hold fond memories of being likely one of the worst enchanters out there hehe.  But, it was my first, and so, will always be well liked.

City of Heroes:  nice graphics, decent story, fun players, great customization of your physical apperance.  Different sort of power/ability scheme and come on, if your a good guy at heart, you love playing a hero and saving lives.

OK, let the chaos begin.

Although I'm a bit overplayed on all the ones I like right now, Cov gets my vote for favorite.

    1. No equipment = no grinding for equipment = take that WoW raiding fools!

    2. Travel powers: yes I can have fun just super jumping for a hour.

    3. The Art - I like how the toons look, and how the cities look.

    4. Grouping - I can solo are find a team whenever I want.

    5. The quests - Currently in most MMOs the quest aren't worth reading- CoX excepts this and gets right to the point.  I just look at the goal hit select and off I go.  For teams this works really well, grab a new missions, everyone can do it, everyone can gets exp for it.

    City of Villains...

Many good things.  Flocks of peoples will come with many valid reasons.  But to me, as an evil hardcore player, this is how the endgame works in CoV.  Yeah, it isn't much, but what it is, it is done RIGHT (RSF/SF/Inventions/Accolades).  Which is not the case of any competitor.  It is pointless to have more stuff if it isn't done right.  Having 1 once of gold is better then having tons of s**t.

You missed Lord of the Rings Online.

I really wish I could give the crown to Star Wars Galaxies though.. they tried and for a time The Force was strong indeed...

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

I think I had the most fun in Everquest.  It was my second MMO, but it had lots of memorable expriences for me.  WoW was fun, but I don't really remember a whole lot after playing it.  I probably remember EQ experiences because a lot of them were cost or gained me something very valuable in the game.  I guess spending an overabundance of time in a game will do that, but it also makes you sick physically.

I wrote a review about almost every MMO but clicked the game buttom and lost it all. Oh well here is a very quick version (the lotro bit is just random, wonder why i am typing it)

MxO: first MMO, ingame events that were excellent, combat system, ability to play any class on one character, martial arts animations, community. I would go back to MxO but their is no end game content

Pirates of the Burning sea should be good :)

Dark Age of Camelot. Looks dated now, but for me the mechanics of the game (for the first couple of years at least) were absolutely what they should be for an MMO.

EvE, absolutely the best of any game currently released and will be for a long time to come.
