Oh give me a break. WoW scored very high across the board on all the major video game review sites, as well as winning Gamespot's Game of the Year award. No one is going to say that WoW is the perfect game; WoW has its flaws. But I mean come on, unless you're just some disgruntled "WoW stole from GW!" fanboy, I don't see how you can say with a strait face that "WoW was never good."

Yeah, we know. Warhammer had the corner covered. But Warcraft kicked WAR out of the corner and took it for its own. And it's not like WoW is just continuing to steal material from Warhammer. Blizzard took WAR, expanded upon it, threw in their own ideas, and made something epic.
honistly anyone who says that WAR is stealing from WOW is just a wow fanboy or a AOC fanboy trying to get on ur nerves, theres no way anyone could possibly be that ignorant to truely believe that.

Did you even read the thread at all, or did you just want to throw in your own 1 cent after reading the thread title? I've already made several arguments debunking the whole "X stole from Y" mentality, yet here you are, like a drone, spouting your ritualistic propaganda. In case you missed it, let me recap (in nice colorful bold letters, I'm sure you'll see it then):
The fact that the Warcraft and Starcraft universes were based off of Games Workshop's materials means nothing. Warhammer itself stems off of Dungeons and Dragons and Tolkien's Middle Earth. Good things borrow from other good things, and it makes better things. In addition, while Warhammer may have been created before Warcraft, Blizzard was able to create massively successful, popular, and GOOD PC games for its Warcraft and Starcraft universes. Games Workshop wasn't able to accomplish such a task. If someone came along and made a Starcraft-esque game, but was *better* than Starcraft, I wouldn't be crying and moaning that they stole from Starcraft; I'd enjoy the game. Why? Because I enjoy good games. You should too.
WoW scored good across the board huh? look over all the games...im sure you can point out crap ones that got high rates so that just went right out the window for you. you cant kick a game out of the corner that was there with all of what WoW had and more...except the horribly stylized gear and characters

Fine. You look over all the games. Find a crap one that was given an extremely high rating by all the big gaming sites (Gamespot, IGN, Gamespy, PCGamer, etc.) Every now and then I'll see a game given a bad review by one website. But you're not going to have a game given *great* reviews by *all* the websites if they're not great. It doesn't happen. If you can prove me wrong, I'll retract my statement.
And yeah, anyone can kick anyone else out of the corner if they're good enough. Blizzard has the Midas Touch. They've created the most popular RTS and MMORPG games of all time. They've made the #2 and #3 best selling PC games of all time. Three of their games have won Gamespot's Game of the Year award (don't try to say "but some bad games also win GotY!", because you'll just make yourself look foolish). Blizzard owns the corner.
edit: I'm not trying to say that WAR is going to be a bad game. I have high expectations for it. I'm planning on buying it. And I don't even play WoW anymore, subscription ended last month...decided I was tired of running the same end-game instances without end. But I don't let blind fanboyism cloud my judgment, either.
