Game hangs

in Ryzom
On the last little square of the loading screen...left it up literally all last night while i went out drinking. Came home...still hung.



I've looked and searched and quested...found the holy grail, but couldnt find a single damn topic anywhere on the net...not even the ryzom tech forum..on this issue.



I'm completely god damn flabbergasted!!





Help? <3



Oh and for whatever reason...i cant post on the tech forum at ryzom. woowoo.

    Sorry to hear of the trouble you're having. First off, can I make sure that your system meets the technical specs? Do you have a dedicated graphics card or might you be running from an onboard Intel chipset? They've been known to have a lot of trouble with Ryzom.



    Try creating a new character and log them in - it could be something purely character specific.



    Have you installed the full version or only the minimal thinking behind this suggestion is that I've had the same problem in the past when the textures file for the specific region my character was in got corrupted. A new character in a new region, or a fresh download, could fix that.



    And if still no joy, try turning off the background downloader : -



    Open the 'client.cfg' file in your Ryzom directory, and add this line to the end of the file:
    BackgroundDownloader = 0

    As a free trial account, you should be able to post on existing threads in the Tech Support forum. I think! Try it :).

    If you don't see a relevant topic to add to there, then make a new thread with your issue in the Newcomer section, and request that it be moved to the Tech Support forum - when it's moved, you should be able to continue to reply and follow it through.

    And lastly, there is an online chat tool for support too - Klients.
