I was one of the winners of the ten T.R. Beta Keys and was wondering what I should be expecting in the way of Recieving the information on how to claim the prize...I know it isnt in Beta yet, But how will the process work, for me, and the nine others to obtain our keys/ download client?

Wow....someone who knows nothing of TB got one of the keys.....if thats not a blow to the testicles, I don't know what is. These contests should have questions about the game, to prove you're knowledgeable about it.

Firehaven, normally the company in question (NCSoft for instance) will email you the guidance you need to get into the game. But if you don't hear from them in a few days, email them or mmorpg.com and ask for guidance.

And RASH, I have been tracking this game for a long time. But not knowing about the start of the beta does not mean I don't know "anything" about the game. Geesh! And this guy asked for help and none of you gave it to him. What a bunch of "fine" folks! Lol.

I'm guessing when the next wave of invites goes out, they'll invite the winners, the contest was pretty vague with little info.

thank you all that were helpful, That is the type of MMo community that I would like to see more of... To the others, I would just say that , Just because I am a two week member or a ten year member, doesn't constitute my like/ dislike, Knowledge / Idiocracy of MMO's or whatever it may be in question, A little respect for community would be amazing to see more of on these sites...once again thanks a bunch to those Gamers who find it more beneficial to someone to just answer a simple question rather than throwing sludge around an oterwise great site.

Why would you think a game company would want all their beta-testers to know a lot about the game before testing it? It stands to reason that the more of a blank slate you are, the better able to test things as a "new user" you would be.

Beta testing is not about letting the people who have "done their work" get a "reward." It's about testing and pounding on the software to find bugs and problems. Anyone who is intrepid can do this, and you do not need to have any "prior knowledge" about the game. In fact you are more likely to find problems with things like tutorials if you know zero, than if you know a lot.

lol wow I've gotten flamed for my little comment, most of you took it pretty seriously but if you would like, I could make an argument which would strengthen my position.

Those who haven't followed a game like TB are least likely to actually beta test a game if chosen to do so. They already have a lack of interest in the game so they may log on a few times just to play and then stop, thus wasting a spot for a more experienced and familiar beta tester who, like myself, would really like to see this game take off and be at its best at release.

Now of course that doesn't mean EVERYONE, I didn't say EVERYONE. I'm sure most of you were going to say "NOT EVERYONE!" Stop right there because I didn't say everyone, would actually be that careless about the game in its testing phase. For some it may actually peak their interest into the game and they may become a valuable beta tester. But from my past experience with others and myself, if I wasn't into the game in the first place, my beta testing of the game is very poor.

So continue to flame on.
