WAR will be an amazing game, I have no doubt. I just hope that it isnt rated T for teen. Because if it was....hello 12 year old noobs. Personally im waiting for AOC more
I would just like to poitn out one thing. While war's implementation of healers is different than other mmos, and makes healers more involved in combat (ie. shamans heals are useless unless he has nuked someone a few times) it doesn't mean that war has no healers. I would expect most pvp groups (6 people in a group) to have 2 healing classes, possibly even more depending on how their damage compares to other classes.
PS: AoC, the game where you can cut off someones hand or limbs, and even perform fatalities on those you kill.... can some one tell me why "the kiddies" WILL NOT be playing it? I realize looking for logic on game forums is a waste, but do people even look at what the game is implementing? Add to that a fps like combat system (compared to other mmogs at least) and the reason why people think "kiddies" won't flock to it long before they even look at anythign else is quite hard to see. Oh, it got an "M" rating. yay?
Geez, shows how much the mighty have fallen when you get flamed by a fanboi/2 post wonder for SUPPORTING their game/whatever around here, you just can't win... Make a small typo (cuz I do know actally I'm a Chaos player) and use infomation off the offical FAQ that 'cannot' be correct cuz 'he says so' and you get you head bitten off.. Whats the point of actally bothering to post here anymore when people are ready to flame you not matter what 'side' your on?
I fail to see how your post was in support of WAR, and I also fail to see how my post count makes what I say any less credible. What point did I challenge that was in the FAQ? The forces of the other Chaos gods WILL be in the game, just not playable. The latest newsletter has stuff on the bastion stair, where they plan on having you fight a bloodthirster, even.

Yes, it will be rated T, but the idea that AoC will have any less kids playing it is absurd, especially considering AoC will also be released on the 360.
Just wanted to say thanks to gpett for the post. I must admit I don't follow WAR that closely yet, but what you list sounds intriguing. It'll be very interesting seeing how those features work out in the game.
Its basically a pvp for kids type game, its like mario kart where anyone and everyone can play and be competitive due to the auto attack feature; this makes it very popular because of the wide player base. http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/media/video/ this shows some of the videos, its rather slow paced as to run on crappier computers as well which again also increases its player base. And your right it does look like world of warcraft though it has more texturing and more earth tone, but people can still relate with it due its races and combat system being the same.
And that is why the game is so popular.

Its dumb to think just a game is rated for M its going to have less kids playing. Look around how many kids are smoking and drinking and on cracks.
