the best player map IMO is the map made by Paladin Vent
is not a political map is a sovereignty map (auto generated)
how is working every time that u open in game the map (F10) and look on sovereignty option the game generate some files on the cache folder
this man made some code in java, and that code generate the image
u can get the source code here (the code is under DBS license)
the map file is uploaded on eve-files almost every day under same name like that the link is the same
