Well, it has the graphics of Counter-Strike, so I'd figure it would play well. I hope so. This looks like one bada$$ game.

except that it is not a PVP... it's an MMORPG with PVP elements.. geez peeps, this IS MMORPG.com...

hold 100,000 in the world not in one place....i do think thats only one server though so thats good

(the best real time battle game with lag is planetside how many can ya get on the field? cut that in half or a forth and youll prob get that in fomk)

It wont be like counterstrike.....since it is mmo...but it can try to get close...

(the closer they get the happier i become)

It does seem more action than rpg though

    Own, Mine, Defend, Attack, 24/7

this game sounds pretty impressive to me and it DOES have pvp of sorts if you read into although its not the normal go out and reak havoc type

The possibilities and promises of the game is great. Just have to see how it will take hold on the MMORPG community. I think if they get even 5000 players at release it will be great.

I still remember game called Neocron that just withered and died slowly, even though it too had great promise.

Just to clear this up, FoM will be almost entirely PvP (the only exception being combat with the aliens, but all signs point to them playing a rather minor role). PvP will run through player created missions, i.e. high ranking players in each faction will create attack, defense, escourt etc missions for player squads to complete. As far as we know, all of these missions will target other players.

If you choose to ignore your faction's missions and instead attack random players, you will have the police force to deal with. And by the way, it's made up of players, not NPCs image

In short, FoM is just about the more PvP orientated MMO around, but it's meaningful PvP image

I remember Neocron allso.  I loved it for the first three months.  Then it became very repetetiv.

One of the things I like about FoM is that if you PK someone outside of a mission, you can be arrested by the L.E.D. and put in prison.  That in and of itself will lend to some very good RPing.  The economy rocks. And for the first time I truely feel that we have a game that will live up to it's promise of being player driven.  Players will lead the factions. Players will make every item in the game, to include your clones ( Not sure about starter weapons ).  From what I have read on the forum they actually pay attention to their player base.

But,  we have all seen new games that start out like this.  as long as the devs stay true to their word, FoM will be around for a long time.  All it takes is honest communication between the devs and the players.  If the players are told that a function that they want will be added with the next patch, but for some reason it can't be added to the game, tell us the truth.  And if it comes down to the function will never be able to be added, tell us the truth. Don't keep telling us that it will be in the next patch. "Oops sorry, it will make the next patch" then the next patch comes and they say "Oops sorry, it will make the next patch" rinse repeat.

Anywho this is a lot longer than I had planed.  But I felt the need to say it.

    Later

    Marack
