What level do you get to use mechs? Or how much?

Thinking of trying AO again by buying the version of the game but want to see if it's worthwhile. Are the battle mechs high level only elements to the game or can you get them fairly early in the game?



Don't want to sign back up or start over and have only mission grinding to gain levels without anything worthwhile that is new being not accessible. Thanks.

    mechs are avaliable at lvl 15 i think... (lvl 1 if u have the pre-order version, but thats only scout) and i dunno how long ago u played, but the SL expansion makes mission grinding a think of the past, good luck :)

    Thanks. I just got an offer to play my old account for 14 days so I'll take them up on that. Luckly when they were doing their free account upgrades I took advantage of that so now that account is Alien Invasion enabled (with SL, Notum Wars as well). Guess I'll miss out on the mechs but should be interesting all the same. Just found my copy of the Shadowlands client (never really got serious into it but did like the starting area before heading down to the planet proper). I do remember really enjoying AO and it's PvP. Also unlike Vanguard my PC has no problem playing the game.

    too much grind i like it but its too old twinks and thats it no balance in pvp etc

    You get the mec through the LE expansion and i heard once u get le u automaticlly get the mech.
