Has anyone here actually been accepted to the closed beta yet? And are they still accepting? Sorry if this is already well known, I looked around for about 20 minutes and couldn't find anything.
The reason you don't find people saying they're in beta is because they've all agreed to a Non-Disclosure Agreement which forbids them from telling people.
No one knows much about the WAR beta test unless they're on the inside, but I can tell you that MMORPG beta tests traditionally expand over time. Every once in a while they'll invite another batch of testers. So if you've registered a beta account, yes, you may get in at any time. Is it likely you'll get in any time soon? No. The great majority of people who do get in won't be invited until they do the stress test at the very end of beta, probably within a few weeks of release.
All you can do to improve your chances is be on the look out for any contests for beta keys.

You are wrong.

Oops. I guess I was wrong, just going off of what the normal restrictions on MMORPG beta test agreements are.
Still not very useful, since all people can tell you is that they themselves are in the beta test. All the other stuff I said is still valid.
If I remember correctly the only Beta testers that have been admitted were trusted testers from DAoC. They will iron out the bigger bugs with that group then they will expand the beta to get a bigger player sampling to fix other harder to find bugs. Then they will expand the beta to even more people and do server tests. There will be multiple waves meaning that they will admit more and more people as the beta goes on. I would expect the next wave of Beta to probably expand into the thousands of players, their current Community Manager said in an interview they already have hundreds.
In theory you could tell the whole world that you received an invite if you like so long as it's before you accept it and agree to the terms of the NDA then you wouldn't be permitted to say anything

Of course this has been gone over a million times, but even when you "sign" the nda you can announce that you have been accepted.
Meh, I suppose. I've been to Games Day in Baltimore before and it was great. That was when Climax was still doing it, so, I've been waiting a long time, lol.
My friend got a beta acceptance, I have no clue how but he was one of the lucky ones and they did not send him much info. They just said they would keep him up to date later on.

Shame the website sucks though, i mean on the EU... you're not even sure if you're part of the beta or not...
love the tick boxes rather than the usual "if you do want to"
it's "if you don't want to" on the 3 tick boxes
GOA sucks at websites, looks all flashy.. but about as useful as magazine toilet paper
