What are the GOOD PvP based games right now.

     I'm looking for a good PvP only game with no PvE base at all.  Im tired of PvE interfering with PvP and vice versa(cough WoW).  Im currently playing LotRO for PvE and while the PvP is kinda fun and the idea is pretty good its all zerg which can become a tad boring I suppose.  I really do not want to suscribe to WoW just to PvP mainly because every class changes every week and it becomes impossible for me to be comfortable with one class for more than 2 weeks.

    So any good solid PvP only games out there right now my option is Guild Wars which i enjoy but I have some X-Pac's to purchase if I go back to that so I figured I would ask a community forum.  The game also must currently be released or is going to be released by the end of August 2007.

    I'd say GW is your best bet.  You don't need to purchase the expansions if you don't want to.

    hmm...shadowbane's got open PvP...and it's free now but...it's a little buggy (quite a few times, in the middle of a battle, i've seen my char whip around because the enemy warped to the other side of him and back, hehe)...you could also wait for AoC...it'll have all sorts of stuff (too lazy to list, just check other threads)

    EVE is a good contender, there's no need at all to ever mine or do missions or rat, all you need to do is be a good pirate and to have a trading alt.

    And since trading is PVP as well, you're PVPing only :)

    heh yeah.  I was JUST about to mention that!  Grr you!

    Fury looks like it's going to have some AMAZING PvP.  Oh, and it doens't have any PvE.  MMORPG + FPS = yayness ^_^

    The only pvp game in the market atm is EVE online. The other good pvp games are now old and somewhat empty. I started EVE a week ago and Im having a blast.. At first it may seem just a point and click game with nothing more to do than mine or fight but as you play you ll cut through many layers and see theres much in this game. Guild Wars isnt a pvp game.. its an arena game like quake.

    IMO EVE is the only real MMORPG out there.
