    Real Conan? You fool, Hordward's Conan was in his mind far before this nerd was born.
    Plus, What kind of parents named their son like a story tale character from the 30s? They had to be on a good high, damn hippies.

    Conan is a Irish name, not a name that Howard made up for the character. Indeed there is more than one character named Conan in the published works by Robert E. Howard. Indeed there are many historical Conan's, including a Saint (a.k.a saint Mochonna) and the name of a fortified city in Britain (Short of Kaerconan, believed to be the modern day city of Conigsborough).



    Just thought I would point all of that out. Its no more made up than Luke or Han just to name a few other fictional characters.

    You know what man?  I posted here about a week ago talking all kinds of smack about how it was doubtful that Conan was Irish running around in Cimmeria but you just schooled me proper.  WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED YOU!!! hahaha

    To add to the list, Sir Arthur CONAN Doyle.  I stand corrected.
