Couple questions from a returning player

in City of Heroes

  I played CoH when the game came out for a few months and am thinking of returning.  I am playing the 14 day trial now and was wondering a few things.....

 

  Since I have downloaded the current game from the 14 day trial, do I need to buy the good vs evil edition if I want to continue after the trial?  Or do I already have the game from the download?

 

  Is there a RP server?

    Umm, if you already have CoH, you'd just need to reactivate that Account. You could not play CoV then, however.



    So no, the Trial does not count as the Game, the least you'd have to do is buying a Good vs. Evil Edition Key from the NC Soft Shop.



    There is no RP Server, however, generally one Server per Region is inofficially the RP Server, look/ask in the official CoX Forums to find out which one it is.

    The download isn't the problem, the NCSoft account is the problem. If you played for real that's the account you want to reactivate - the currently (separate I presume) trial will give you a taste but it's not what you would want to stick with.

    I suggest going into the account management page for the original account. If it's only for CoH, try adding a "both sides" trial key. (This is a trick that used to work, but may not anymore.) You would do that with the Upgrade button. That way you'd have the original account which counts as full, but also have access to both sides. And obviously don't use the same trial key you're using now, get a different one.

    If that doesn't work then yes purchase the GvE edition. It comes with bonuses too.

    If you have an inactive account all you have to do is reactivate it with a game time card or enter your credit card info to start the $14.99 payment again. The only reason you would have to buy GvsE is to upgrade to Coh and CoV.

    "Virtue" is the unofficial RP'ing server, im betting you will find what your looking for there.

    But they aint all rp'ers
