Why do they show stargate sg1 episodes and stargate Stargate Atlantis episodes in The uk first the

in Stargate Worlds

Ok so i live in the usa and i have go to wikipedia and look up stargate sg1  episodes and found out they showed in the uk first.Thta makes me so so mad.So why do they do that .

    Well  i did not know about hearoes being showed frst in the usa and that is not fair too they should show both episodes at the same time.

    Who cares?  There's no less than a 6 month wait in the states for anything the BBC produces.   It's only TV.  Go play a game or something.

    I am pretty sure Heroes is an American produced show as is SG1/Atlantis.

    They might have decided to delay the US showing of SG1 so when the season ends it will be just a short wait for the direct to DVD SG1 Movie.

    Stargate is porduced in Canada. As for why UK has already seen all the eps. This has been happening for many seasons. America starts out ahead of the UK in the fall. But America stops showing eps. because of Christmas (winter) break but UK continues to show new ones. I believe that US starts out 2 weeks ahead and falls to 2 weeks behind at the end of the season.

    cos  in the uk we never split shows up we run a season none stop

    the us get the first parts first we get the last first but only by a week or two



    so every tuesday night for 20 + episodes we get say sg1

    its just the way are tv works but then again we only got 5 channels (unless you have satalite)

    So if i get this right in the usa we see part of a season in th fall ahead of th uk.but in usa they stop showing the  episodes during dec.-april but they stop show new eqisodes in th uks for about  a month they they start showing them again in jan but they wait to show the usa new  episodes until april right.

    tbh, if you look at how many big shows there are on tv, then how many of them the US gets weeks, sometimes MONTHS, ahead of the UK, i find it funny the tables are finally turned =/



    you get Lost, the Simpsons, and many other huge shows first, so just accept it like us brits have to do, and if you feel that bad, download the torrents the morning after they're aired...  then you don't even miss out by 24hours.

    Ok i think they should show show like Stargate Atlantis,lost,and so on.So i think they should show like that at the same time in the usa and uk at the same time.So i think it s unfair to stargate fans to have to wait  longer to see the last episode of stargate sg1.SO i think its is unfair but you you think it is fair please tell me why.

    Meh 99% of the time its the US who get the programs first not the UK, ofcourse i think its unfair that one gets it first and the other has to sit and wait, but its pointless arguing since it just causes even more arguements...

    Ontop of being shown first theres alot of programs that arn't even aired in the UK never mind late.. :/

    Lifes unfair is the conclusion.

    Why does it make you mad?

    Channels pay to show it as soon as they can, such as Sky 1 in the UK.

    The show is filmed mainly out of Canada so whats it too you?

    I moved to N America last year now I have to wait another yr for the new season of Dr Who.

    Deal with it lol

    The U.S. gets 95% of TV and movie showings long before our U.K. friends, suck it up and wait for the showing in the states.

    Who ever pays the most gets them first, it has nothing to do with where they are made. Sky one has always supported Sci Fi shows and it pays big money for them. It's a satellite channel so I'm shure there's a way to get it in the States.

    The US has to fit all those commercials in, that overuns schedules by about  3 years over 12 episodes.

    Because they break all viewing records here, and oh yeah Sky One paid more money possibly from the fact they needed exclusives after the whole Virgin Media fall out.

     

    whine more, the US get some movies and games months before the UK....

     

    although, can't say i exactly care, i've preferred the recent series of 'Doctor Who' better than what Atlantis or SG1 can come up with...

    Probably why i went over to Virgin Media instead, gotta admit their on-demand free service is kinda nifty

    Stop whining. The US gets most shows, and things in general, first, many things are exclusive to the States only.

    the SciFi Channel does every thing they can to ruin great shows so they can put on more wrestling . by not airing them  the same time as Sky(UK). this gives the US a chance to see them by downloading them, months in advance  so when  it airs in the US the ratings are  low.  now SciFi can cancel the show and add more of what we all want from a "SCIFI "channel more POS wrestling

    Okay, so much for any legitimacy you had.  Why does it really matter when you get to watch the show or who watches it first?  How does it really impact your life?

    We get a great deal of things before the UK from TV to video games, DVD releases and more.  So they get to watch a BSG or SG episode before we do.  Good on them.  I'll get to watch it eventually and that is the only thing that matters.
