In this most recent article about The Chronicles of Spellborn, Managing Editor Jon Wood takes a look at the player attribute system.
Last time around, we talked a little bit about the classes that will be available in the upcoming MMORPG, The Chronicles of Spellborn. This time, I wanted to devote some time to the idea of player attributes.
With the help of the Spellborn team, I was able to get to the bottom of their system. You see, the player attributes are made up of three main attributes: Body, Mind and Focus. Each of those attributes, in turn, is tied to one of the three character class archetypes that were discussed in the last article: Warrior (Body), Spell Caster (Mind), and Rogue (Focus).
Again, referring back to the previous article, The Chronicles of Spellborn allows players to eventually select "specialized classes" within their archetype. Each of these specialized classes (there are three specialized classes for each of the class archetypes) is tied to a second attribute:

Sorcery must persist, the future is the Citadel
Um.....mabye because toons in plate mail can't backstab or cast spells effectively?
It's either classes or choosing some skills disables others. take your pick.
I am looking forward to beta too, friend. This will happen... kinda soon (more than a few weeks). EU is getting first release, at that time (release time) US will probably get beta.
Did you forget to read the two year old memo. You can wear plate and backstab and cast spells effectively.
Well the release has been pushed back to the winter so there is a greater chance for simultaneous release within the three regions (Asia with Korea as the centerpoint).

(Unless they changed all that and I missed something...)

Ya... when the game first announced itself years ago, and I had a chance to read the first few things they said, I was intrested. My intrest has dipped and gone to the point that I don't trust the game to even be 1/100th as fun as most others.
They have an extremly simplified attrubute system, which they somehow turned into an overcomplex mesh.
Sorry, I am gonna take back my beta application for this one, doubt i have the time.
Good luck
