First up is the raiding. I really preferred the old 40-man raid content. I found the new raids introduced in BC to be almost too easy, and give you gear that you could probably replace in a heroic 5-man. I'm speaking more for Kara/Grull/Mag than Serpentshrine/The Eye. I don't really think this would be a problem for the more casual players, though. I wasn't exactly casual, but I was far from the "hardcore raider."
My only other big problem with the game: the community. Honestly, go to the official WoW forums and read through some of the various sections for about 20 minutes and you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying this represents the WoW community as a whole, but it's inevitable that you're going to run into a lot of people like this in WoW at some point in time. Granted that this is the way of many online games, but for some reason I found them to be far more common in WoW that other MMO's.
Other than this, I really have no problems with WoW. It's not a great game, but it was good enough to hold my attention for upwards of two years.

Ok anyway ... I voted Good. Because I am in game active in a large guild and we have alot of fun everyday. everything from lvl 7's to level 70's
People say wow is not innovative... LOL thast cause yes there is now alot of games using the WoW format. What makes me laugh is ...this is the format WOW made? innovative... well yeah ...3 years ago. today well its a 3 year old game, what do people expect the game to be some how massivly changed .... lol this is not a SONY product that totally revamps the game and calls it a expansion.
WoW took the better aspects of a number of other games, refined them, and put out a new product. It's basic archtype is the same thing used by Everquest. That is why no one calls it innovative, it didn't break the mold, it just smoothed the edges.
THe burning crusade fixed many old probelms, like needing to raid 40 man instances. Like not being able to solo end game, Like adding new races and professions. And gave many people alot mroe reasons to play. Gold spammers are gone now.
25 man, 40 man, same shit less people. Still need a big impresonal guild, still drama, still loot grind. I don't know what you mean by solo endgame, all the best stuff is from groups. Do you mean rep grinding, what a joke of content. New profession is just another money sink. Forces you to get the best jewels and the best enchants on your new piece of epic gear. More time farming mats and G, great.
Id say WOW has some of the best support and customer service of any MMO game ever made.

There is zero feedback or discussion of game issues with devs or CMs. It was true in both beta and retail. CMs regularly insult people on their forums.
Thing to know about WoW that alot of people dont get is...its a plug and play, pick up game. you can stop or start when you feel like it.
You dont have to be in a huge guild. or you dont have to via for control thru poltics . Nope you can just play.
No, you have to join a big guild if you want to keep up in loot. Big guilds mean raiding schedules and attendence requirements.
When someone whats to be the best.. or the most powerful... well when the realize there is no such thing, that there is no Leet uber pwn all anything that can make all players do what they want.
they get mad and go find a game they can be uber in.
If you want to PvP you need the best stuff. If you don't have it you will lose, end of story. PvP itself doesn't give enough to keep up with raiding, even in TBC, so you have to go raid. I would prefer if you were given a set gearset when zoning into PvP so it wasn't all about gear, but WoW is about raiding all day or being a second class citizen.
Wow is a great basic MMO with quest optional PVP, rich story line and game history. that is it, dont expect it to be what everyone thinks there own idea of it should be.
The storyline is a joke. Look at the expansion. This is a fantasy RPG where a bunch of space squids crash landed in their spaceship and instead of jumping out with lasers they are in rags with a big club (Dranei). Where a bunch of crack addicts can use the power of Jesus because they caught a big glowy thing and hide it in their basement. The whole thing is absurd.
Basic, to the point, fun.
want to be uber god king guy....not a game for you... like to hang out kill monsters and do quests... buy the game.
Constantly being a second class citizen who gets killed by people three tiers of gear ahead of me is not fun. Maybe you enjoy killing the same retarded NPCs over and over for "rep", but the rest of us want dynamic, challenging content.
WoW is nothing but an epic raid loot grind at 70. A new designer got to design the end-game content and he is a douchbag.

Warcraft is a awful game and no I'm not just a WOW hater the game really does just sucks. Warcraft has not a inch of creativity they just grabbed alot of stuff from alot of other game and just made something called it a MMO and just threw it on the market. I played the game till lvl 40 and wanted to shoot myself for wasting my time on it the game just sucks and the pvp is just awful. Also the only reason why this game reached a 8 million subs. is because of the franchise name it used Warcraft if it never used that name it would have never even reached the 500,000 subs.

Alos there are a lot of wow fan boyz ... who having never really played other mmos think wow is gods give to the gaming world, this creates more dislike of anything to do with wow.
But overall ,wow really is a good mmorpg.

now theres a decent amount of truth here. WoW IS a good mmo... for those who are new to the genre... for those of us really holding out till something better and much more decent comes along... well its getting worse and worse.
The major problem being that people who are mmo vets, well we expect a little more, and WoW just ain't giving it to us. They gave an expansion that a lot of people liked, but a lot... well we understood that all it was, was a world with a real like of a lot of thought, the lore was ALL screwed up, and 99% of the mobs were the same models of enemies that were re-skinned. NOTHING was changed. I had really liked WoW, even the 40-man raids, and it wasnt anything great but i perfered that much more then whats going on now.
Blizzard on the other hand... well they dont give a god-damn about the players and every gamer i know is getting so sick of these companies that dont listen, dont care, and just want your $$$.
::sigh:: i want old school gaming back... i'll take the bad graphics for a good rpg from the psone, or a less-pretty mmo for some good quality gaming with devs that care.

Well the reason I asked that was to see weather people just said they hate it because their friends do, or, if they hate it because they played it and didnt like it. On another forum, people said they hated WoW, without saying why, or any characters they have.
It would break the mold if it wasn't experience-based leveling, but nope.
Well I have played it, I have 7 lvl 60-70's... and played everything that was available at the time when I played. The main thing that I think made WoW such a disaster is Blizzard tends to think that they'll be able to release the same kind of content month after month. This will probably work for the players that are playing WoW as their first MMO but sooner or later they're going to get sick of the easy content that's simply "Kill A and get B so you can do C". Another problem Blizzard have is that they have NO idea what an original MMORPG is or was, so their decisions are going to continue to make WoW just another Online Console game.
