how long before a character is deleted??

Excuse me would anyone be able to tell me how long a character can remain inactive before he/she is deleted I was level 54?? been since like jan 06 i lasted played would my char still be around??? as a side note my profile works ont he eq station so i can view what my char had. THANKS

Yes it would, your characters wont be remove,d no matter the level. I re-opened after over a year after launch and all my chars were there.. Also, after 4 years in eq 1, my toons were there
If your character still shows up on EQ Station, he's probably still on your account. I've never heard of anyone's characters being deleted for inactivity, and it takes very little space to keep them stored.
Characters that don't exist can't be added to a Friends list, though I'm not sure about inactive accounts. If you tell me your character's name and server, I can create a new character there and try to add him.
i've never heard of an mmo that deletes your chars, heck, i even still have my DAoC chars, and i haven't played that for 4-5 years. So i would not fear for the life of my chars if i were you

Go to EQ2 players, type in your charactes name to search for him and you will soon have your answer. I would bet though that he's still there.
ahh ok thank you all for the replies it's really appreciated .... hmm on eq2players if i log in it shows my chars and their gear but if i search for them then its no dice... Oh well guess ill just have to log in to see if not ill just reroll anotehr char prolly be like a new game anyways with my new pc LOL

to the person who asked for my chars name to see if they can add to their friends list my chars name was " Tantrik "played on crushbone server.
I was able to add Tantrik to my Friends list on Crushbone. So either your character is still there, or someone else made a character with that name. Since your character shows up in EQ2 Players, and not another Tantrik, it's a safe bet your characters are still there.

A while back some under 10 chars that had not logged in for 2+ years were deleted for a server merge.
Your 54 will not be deleted until eq2's contract is up and not renewed ......................... ie they stop eq2
However ......................
Since server mergers have gone on in the past and this isnt so much for you really but others .............
If your character was level 5 or below with under a certain amount of gold .................. your char would be deleted.
If you merge with another server you may have the following problems no matter what level.
Name be changed
Items in house may be missing
Items in shared bank or left on broker may be missing
items in a freinds house may not be picked up by yourself anymore
Also you will notice on login you may have to repick skills and such ................... some spells and such may have changed so reread them and check spell book for new ones or missing ones.
