Does anybody know any "satisfying" mmo?

MisterSrMisterSr Member UncommonPosts: 928

I've played almost every type of MMO you can think of, non of them were satisfying. It seems every MMO that I gain interest in I quickly lose it because everyone says that every single one of these MMOs are cloned off a certain game, and each and every one of them just bores these people to death. Are there ANY good MMOs out there?

The users here can (and will) post lists of their favorite, most satisfying, most whatever MMO but what will that accomplish? We're all individuals. What you like, I may not. What you find satisfying, I may find shallow and trite. Everyone else will post their lists following this reply, I'm certain of that, but when it comes right down to it, it's your own preferences you must satisfy, and for that my friend, you're on your own.

It's your game, your time your devoting, and your money (presuming we're not talking about F2P titles) so why does everyone else's opinions on games cause you to lose interest? Grow a pair and have your own opinion.

FF11 doesn't feel like a clone off of any other MMO except for the massive multiplayer part of it.

It's more similar to previous FF games in more ways than say WoW was to it's previous games.

It's also a fairly challenging game.

I have always been very satisfied with ff11, I've been loving it for 4 years now.

Problem is the graphics are sub par [almost playstation 1 grade]. The community is unfreandly and elitist. And the economy is screwed by the chinese speaking gill farmers.

Unfortunately Eve-Online has a huge seperation problem with its playerbase.   A player playing for 3 months can in no way compete with one playing for a year+.

I have/had accounts on all major MMO's <-- everything on that released games list on the left.  I can say for certainty that all of those game companies are looking for what the 'mass' of people are wanting to play and are creating specifically for them to get their niche and income; hence why everything 'feels' the same. (forget 2nd life it doesnt count *snicker*)

I cant wait for someone to design a game thats unique.

    Ya. I would try Vanguard.

    I like it a lot.

Boycott EA Games. RIP Sim City.

Hmm, let's see. You obviously don't know much about the game considering your first sentence is unsupported. Anyone who has played EVE Online at least a bit will tell you otherwise. Even frigates are incredibly useful in 0.0 territory and group battles. Also, have you not played WoW at a competitive level? I played for nearly 2 years, did all of the pre-naxxramas bosses before it came out and such, and that game was MUCH more in favor of a long-term hardcore player. Someone with top gear in that game could absolutely wreck others.

Secondly, UNIQUE? What in god's name are you talking about? Name a game that is even like EVE Online. There are none. It is unique and while not a perfect game, it shares NOTHING in common with nearly any MMO out there.

Thirdly, I am looking at your forum post history and all of them are negative. You seem to be a forum troll, I'm going to stop feeding you now.

To all who were turned off from EVE by his naive comment, ignore it. It is worth a try and is a very strong hit or miss game. If you like it, you'll fall in love.

I doubt you like full open PvP with player looting, so here is a great game for you.
