Everyone who is freaking out with the SOE merger is a flipping idiot. Does anyone relise without their support and financial backing this game would of never left the gates? FL needs there marketing and promotional backing to make this game happen. Im so sick of seeing such moronic children trolling up the boards posting the same crap over and over. Yes they are now partnered with soe, no soe is not re-building the game and screwing it up (see SWG), no FL isnt a crap company pushing a broken and lackluster product into SOE's lap (see vanguard). They are getting involved to help market and promote the product as well as handle the billing, hell they aren't even taking over the forums or customer service. Some day your dolts will get your head out of your asses!

The whinging about this situation has become just downright annoying. Im waiting for someone to genuinely post that SOE have entered into a deal with FLS to place some extra code in their game to steal players souls via the USB ports so that they go out and commit murder and fraud, then use the stolen souls as replacements for their own so they can get into heaven. No doubt SOE will aquire the promised land from god and roll out a "New Death Experiance" and entirely ruin the concept of the afterlife.
To actually prove how this is going too far, not one single person commented on the fact they will be working with "Alchemic Dream" you know, those entirely reliable and upstanding guys that rolled out the excellent customer service for "Dark and Light." Nobody actually cares about them being involved because they cant see past the incredible hatred for SOE. Seriously the amount of hate people have for that company is getting unhealthy because its at the point of obsession. Did any of you hae to move house because your previous one became "tainted" after having some packaging with the SOE logo on the box?
Some of us, me included, have been pushed too far by Sony. I am holding a outright boycott of all Sony products, games electronics and music. I am beyond pissed at them. I dont trust anything they say, everything they do is a bold faced lie. This will become a Sony brand just you watch. Then it will become Vanguard, or the PS3, or have spyware installed or use some proprietary Sony format. I have been looking forward to this game since the dev cycle started. I can't even put this into words at this point. It's just pure hatred. Unfortunatley, I'm only one person and cant make a difference.
I wish they would of done like CCP and stay independant, EvE is close to 200,000 subscriptions now. But no, I guess they wanted to sell retail box and cash in. How long before SOE buys the game like they did with Vanguard?

I couldn't find a recent article in the time I was willing to devote to searching just for you... but it's been stated by the CCP CEO numerous times. Last time was 180k and that was a couple of months ago before the latest expension.
