    No you don't.

The Giants are the PH for the wargs, not the cows.

They both are. But it doesn't matter. Point was that the quests get very repetitive after 3 areas.

The other part of the story or rest of the story is many of the quests are progression based. If you land a group they may be on another part of the quest. If you discover a cave or an instance part of your group may get the message "you have not completed the necessary steps to enter". So once again areas that may be unique different are cut off due to quest progression.

Many groups get together for one part of the quest then leave as soon as they finished that part. While that is normal it does take a bit of time to find another group. Where as if a group in other games get together they may be albe to try several quests and or help buddies with their quests and still get decent experaince and a chance at decent loot while grouped. Here it so geared toward quest based experaince that those that beat to their own drummer lose interest and see no real purpose to whack another boar/wolf/ orc

For the folks that reached 50 they know there is not much there yet granted it is a new offering and that will take time to develop but there is no real urgency to see what is there next because so much of it is the same ole same ole, i be it pigs/ wolfs /boars/ orcs/ gobblins. I have as of yet not found an area i love in the game. In other games during the leveling process i found myself truely enjoying specific areas and looked forward to re visiting those areas. Since the mobs are so similar and the quests are so similar there is no area that  vastly different to make it more interesting ( at least yet ).

So granted a new offering lots of room for improvement but if folks are bored to tears in their 20's they see no reason to stay till there 30s or even 40's........Mainly because once they get there nada has changed just the area ........

Lacks high progression content, the crafting is still pretty poor and searching for ore, ugh. Why do i have to get a vein for just one stab at it.. just one and it disappears. sometimes that irks me.

Change your skin as soon as you play too, the Default UI is just nasty... is it a pile of poop, is it my quest log.. who knows.

At least the travelling costs were fixed, thank goodness. The AH is still a chore to find anything, you can put in a level of weapon you're looking for, and have "useable" highlighted. And staffs will still show up for your Captain, which he can't use. fantastic.

Classes appear too similar in a lot of cases, but manage to counter it with a few unique skills and abilities (but it all still, basically, boils down to spamming the ones that light up red) - unless you're a ministrel, in which case; heal.

Traits are awful, i mean seriously, to get ones that you want.. you have to grind, it's forced on you. You gotta kill 60 Orcs, then 120 Orcs to get Valour 1. By the time you're on your third rank you're killing 120 orcs in North downs, and then another 240 just to get the third one (yup 360 Orcs, just for that little addition to your rank).

No thanks.... just no... that's pretty forced grinding considering the XP, it's a chore; waiting for spawns and snoring. Seriously i think i've single handedly wiped out the orc species that you saw in the movies;  3 times and counting.

Quests although well written (and they ARE well written), tend to avoid what type of boars or wolves you can kill (both of which you'll be killing a lot). In fact single handely you'll again be wiping out entire species of the things, there's not even 24 wolves in Old Forest to start with (see below).

Good example is Ardos Camp to the west of bree, you all know it. Anyway around that time, you'll be looking at killing wolves for pelts, killing wolves for straddle and killing wolves in old forest.

Now the old forest ones are easy enough, finding 24 of them, well have fun !   The wolves for straddle are north by ardos camp, you find this out by mere guesswork and killing stuff.

As for the pelts, they ONLY drop from the ones in the forest, no mention of this in the quest log. Turns out that although the guy wants pelts from wolves near the camp, that doesn't include the ones to the north; whose wolves seem to be without pelts of any kind.

There, one example... there's A LOT like that.

The actual Group quests, are FUN - the cutscenes and in-game scenes are a joy to watch. They capture the story wonderfully and you're always eager to group for the next chapter, especially when you know that books about to close (the LFG tool is frankly one of the best things about the UI).

The Game looks beautiful too, and really captures the wonderful imaginary skills Tolkein himself possessed. The music also adds in a fantastic element of immersion.

Just a shame, i am so bored of it... even playing the single player on Halo 2 looks more appealing than killing another gawddamn orc....

I think people got bored, including myself because the game is just too short and easy. A brand new game comes out and i can max level playing 25-35 hours per week in 3 weeks ?

There is just not enough to it, its very vanilla. I really enjoyted the game but its not a game like eq or wow that had enough breadth and depth to keep me around.

Turbine set a new standard with a stable MMO release, they did alot right, just not enough of it.

I love the game... been playing since September 06 and I am not even close to bored....

I currently have a level 33 toon and have about a dozen solo quests in my log... and I have not even gotten to Evendium yet...

During closed beta, even b4 Evendium I was able to level two toons to 50 with not a lot of grouping.....

Dont know why people are bored.

(it also did not help for me that i did the same parts allready once in open beta).
2 starting areas are not really enough, also nearly all the starting quests are just the classic kill x wolves type quests. the small story instances are fun the first time you do them but on my 2nd or 3rd char i was asking myself where is the fastforward button.
So for those that like to try out a few chars till they find the one they like this game gets boring very fast, casue there is no other way to start than doing the same quests on every char (or at least on every 2nd if you switch between bree area characters and dwarf/elf characters).

In most other mmos you have more starting areas or at least enough other options to level through the starting parts than just doing the same things with every char.
Maybe i would still play it more if i got one character over lvel 20 and got to other areas, but my max level character is still lvl 15/16.

if you do not like the classes in LOTRO, its because you are suffering from MMO burntout.

This game is 2 months old, there wasn't alot to do in WoW either at this age. There is alot of room for this game to grow, I have enjoyed my time here. Sure there is no real PvP, but that could change. WHen EQ2 was coming out SOE talked like EQ2 would NEVER have PVP, and look at it now.

Turbine is working on the game, before they get worried about trivial stuff later, when they are ready to up their consumer base, I am sure they will implement a new form of PvP.
