TR Release?

in Tabula Rasa

Anyone know when Tabula Rasa will be released or if/when open beta will start for the public?  I haven't gone over the TR site with a fine tooth comb yet but I don't remember any specific dates. 

If there hasn't been any offical announcements yet, what's the general consensus on release/open beta dates?

    I know not the exact release date, but I heard on various pages and interwievs that the game is planned to be released in Q3 2007. Though, we're getting close to these dates and we still don't know much about open beta (which is ussualy close to the original release), I will be happy if the game would be released by the end of 2007.

    Closed Beta is in progress now and invites have been distributed recently as stated by other poster Q3 2007, but I think it's an indicative date.

    Last I knew, the official release was in the middle of September.  But now it looks like they might have pushed it back to the middle of October.



    As for the open beta, I believe it's the middle of July.



    If I get some concrete dates, I'll post back.

    Release date is the same as for every other friggin game, just in time for Christmas......

    Gawd how I hate the gaming drought of summer, need a new fix and nothing in site.....

    And yeah, based on beta, looking later on this year.

     

    One thing about TR, they have not been in a rush.  They want to do it right.

    On play.com they say they will dispatch Tabula Rasa on 1st September.

    On Amazon.co.uk they say they will dispatch it on 30th September.

    I hope 1st September is the right one :)

    GameStop and EB have their PRE-RELEASE shipping on October 2nd.  Chances are, it will be like mentioned above......not until Xmas.

    General consensus is around Fall 2007 (September - November, 2007).  Game is worth the wait :)

    impulse, are you sure that's just not the open beta you're getting.  I find it highly unlikely they will be shipping in the middle of July.  They just started closed beta a little bit ago.

    Sorry dude but Amazon is full of shit. TR only kicked into Closed Beta a couple of months ago, which is no short process especially given everything Richard Garriott has said about taking their time and getting everything Just Right. There's no way in hell this game will release anytime in July or even close... I'd be putting my money safely on Q4 for final release, in time for Christmas. But damnwill it be worth the wait!

    Looks good - but then it says the release date is 27 May 2007 so they got that well and truly wrong.

    The game has barely moved into closed beta and is currently slated for release in September.

    2 days ago Amazon.co.uk said Tabula Rasa would be in stock and despatched on 30th September, now they have changed it making it look like the game has already been released and will despatch it in 2-4 weeks when they receive more stock. This is incorrect, Amazon have a tendancy to get dates wrong.

    Play.com has also changed its release date from 01/09/07 to 05/10/2007. Seeing as closed beta has only just started, it seems to be a guessing game atm when the actual retail release date will be.

    I just hope open beta starts soon, or I get into closed beta, can't wait to try this game.

    Oh well, I'll leave the order with them and let the game arrive when it arrives   Its not really a surprise. WAR got pushed back, and that after I bought a great comp to run it on, I'm getting used to dissapointments now.

    I'm sure things are going well, and the game will be released when it's finished.

    I have serious doubts of TR releasing next month.  Some beta testers have been complaining about one or two fairly serious bugs, though apparently they are having a good time testing despite those.

    Was at Gamestop yesterday and the list of PC games being release shows an October release date so we will see what happens. I would prefer it to be pushed back to not have a release like UO did when it first came out *shudders*.

    Ya I'm expecting it to be released in late Fall at the LATEST but if the work the way most games do they will get it out on time with a patch ready to download when you try to play... but expecting the open beta to begin sometime in August. We will see what happens, just hope Richard Garriott makes us proud.
