You are a very negative guy. Everywhere I see you, you have something negative to say. You need to be more respectful.

I have half your system specs

    3400+ amd

    6600 geforce

    and 1gig of ram.

and the game runs perfectly.  I even increased the view distance a bit.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

I haven't played SL (but plan to one day) but it's been my experience that if there's a problem with an online game, chances are it's your internet connection. How are things with other MMORPGs? If you're sure it's not your internet connection, find out what else you're running on your computer. I don't know how computer savvy you are, but enough malware can slow down even a supercomputer.

    I have 100mb/s fiberoptic connection.

I can run EQ2 on high with a good framerate.

I can run WoW on maximim with no fps problems.

I can run Rainbow Six vegas on maximum with no fps problems,

battlefield 2 on maximim with no fps problems,

splinter cell double agent on maximum settings with no fps problems,

STALKER on maximum with no fps problems,

hitman blood money on maximum with no fps problems

I have a very similar system to your own. Second Life runs fairly well for what it has to do and that is constantly load dynamic data. The world is so vast and large and created entirely by the users that traveling the world does involve having to wait for the world to load up. It is an exercise in patience, but one well worth the reward simply because there is so much to see in SL. The game does cache itself, but from what I can tell, it really doesn't make much difference. Frequently accessed areas are still "loaded" like I've never been there before. I wish there was a better way for the game to compare places I've already been to and make a check. If there has been no modification done, load data from HDD. If tehre has been changes, download all data.

    well...

See the problem with SL is that 90% of that game and its objects are player made.

Player made also means ALOT of people dont understand the concept of gfx load management and delegation of resolution to area illusion.

Simple put if you have a small object you dont need to put 1,000 pixels per square inch at MAX resolution to have good looking even great looking stuff...

No most people make stuff set to do the richest highest resolution of effect and display possible to every lil edge curve shape and Item in there area that it takes 15 min to load teh image as you go by them.

serious lack of common sense in the world and creativetity. its takes a lil more work and some thought to create illusions of low res images to make really great stuff, But can be done if you put some effort into more then Load image set paste to wrap object and MAX graphis settings.

That is why a machine like yours THAT is awsome btw... even that cant load all that useless crap in SL as fast as teh idiots that thru there crap Hi res junk all ove rthe place can put there.
