Guild Wars Not working

I haven't played guild wars in a long long time and it said downloading updates and it downloaded all the updates, and now it just says connecting to arena net, and is at 0%. Anyone know what's up with that?

You may not be able to download the updates it is usually one or combination of these five reasons.
1) Most commonly it is your security (firewall, anti-virus or anti-spyware) , you may have check the settings or even turn it off to get the updates. Usually whenever you are downloading, each file is being scanned or watched by at least one of these.
2) If it is a very new update perhaps many people are trying to download the updates at the same time. If you have not played in a while it may download one patch/update at a time. so you Basically update, restart the game and then update the nest patch, restart the game etc.
3) Sometimes updates just take a while to begin, and will be smooth sailing after the first few files are downloaded.
4) Perhaps there is a problem on the server side, you just might want to try again later. (check their web page for any announcements).
5) Reboot your computer and try starting the game again .
I hope one of these methods will help....I understand how frustrating it can be.
