Yeah, tis awesome news. HellRose of Aion Fuse did an awesome job translating
I am post likely going to play the role of the nuker, so Wizard I do really like the robe outfit, many games seem to lose the feel of the mage through shorter clothing. Mages are supposed to wear robes!
It's hard to say at this point if they're "cookie cutter" classes. We've only seen a few skills for 4 of the classes, and that was quite a while ago. The descriptions of them we've seen so far are a bit vague, and the current class names are basically just placeholders.
Well they could of make up some more original names, for example they could of called fighter.. brawler or Adept etc etc
Maybe if you read more you would realize these are not the names they are using. They are not yet finalized and it is expected the class names will be inline with the game lore. They only released the type of classes they will be using and for the record if you watch the videos you'll see that these aren't your average "cookie cutter" classes. Hell even the priest owned face in melee.
I'm going Ranger most likely... utility classes, in my experience, usually end up being very high in demand. Ranger's in FFXI online are snaged up in an instant for pt's. Also another "utility" class in FFXI that is ultra high in demand is a Redmage. In Aion lingo a redmage would be a Chanter. I have no interest in being a Chanter however as I have no interest in being a healer or buffer. I'm a DD/DPS kinda guy.

Is it just me or are these the normal cookie cutter classes?
They are the basic classes for one of the sides... so I'd be surprised if they weren't "normal" and basic.

yep, same classes you see in every game. I have high hopes for this game let's hope they do something to make it unique.

Guess we could call it the D&D syndrome.
And what actual games would look like if board RPGs like D&D never existed in the 80s?
I wanna have wingss!!!! And I'm probably going to be an assassin either way...
