Age of Conan: Community Changes

SzarkSzark News ManagerMember Posts: 4,420

As an FYI for fans and followers of Funcom's upcoming MMORPG, Age of Conan, the developers have recently made at least one major change to the game's community website.

For quite some time it has been known that the developers of this game are looking to develop a game for a more adult audience, and as a result, the MMO will carry an "M" rating from the ESRB. In keeping with ESRB guidelines, the Age of Conan community site now asks visitors to confirm their birth dates before entering the site.

Because no one has ever once typed in a false birthdate when asked on a website.

Nope that has nothing to do with it.......

It's good to hear because now they don't have to censor some of the more mature media they have released for the game lately.

Silly grasshopper! It's not to turn people away, it's to turn the authority and the Law away. From a legal point of view, they did their part and it's not their fault if some parents can't or don't control their children, info is there for anyone who is willing to look for it...

It also shows they aren't even thinking about backing down.

Hopefully this is a good sign that  the Succubus shown a week ago IS NOT the ONLY partially Nude Figure in the entire game, because if it is that would be Extremely misleading and quite frankly would completely Suck.

It won't keep the kids out, but it will reduce the number of lawsuits from parents of 11-yr-old kids when they unexpectedly walk into the Comuter Room and see what the kids are playing.

Its amazing....have a game with countless gore and language and parents just look the otherway.  Throw in some boobs and the sky begins to fall.
