So get This. I here soe is only listening to people that have paid accounts well what if everyone pulled out and dusted off there old disks or dl the trial or do what ever you have to do to get on to the game.. then we pick a server and make a date to reunite at coronet. I think a cool way to do this is to make your old vet name with what server your from. Then we show soe what they could have back if they roll a server back to pre-cu. I think they really wanted to roll back some servers for us but they waited to long and they think that if they do it wont matter anyways. so lets show them it will!!! what do you guys think about this? If people really want to do this then lets talk about it.

I wish they would bring it back i never got a chance to try swg pre-CU. my friend told me about guys role playing as those dancing bar women and it just dfidnt appeal to me lol. I wish i didnt listen to that clown especially since he played swg pre-cu night and day

Its impossible to do this because a single server cannot hold more than 1 or 2 hundred people in one area. Also how would we contact every vet? Even if you get a hold of them all, most wont feel inclined to do this. I wouldn't.
We've already made our point by unsubscribing. SWG has lost ~200,000 since the NGE.
$OE simply will not bring back a Classic / Pre-NGE / Pre-CU server. When the NGE hit, there were pleas all over the place for a roll back or a server to accomodate the older system. Even when people started leaving in droves, and with remaining players asking for an older server, $OE would not accomodate us. Then there's the record of how $OE treated it's SWG player base. This was Nov-Dec 2005. It is now July 2007. Time's ticking, and SWG isn't like fine wine.

That is a definite truth: SWG Pre-CU is long gone and I highly doubt it will ever return in official means. I've also moved on with my PC gaming & MMO experience to 2, better MMORPG's. But that still doesn't mean I can drop by and bitch and moan about SOE and it's retarded handling of SWG and it's paying customers.
To make you SOE fanboi's happy, in other MMO's I've tried, there will always be discussions between players about other MMORPG's, drawing opinions and comparisons. WoW, LotRO, and others come up like clockwork (kinda hard to ignore WoW). But eventually, SWG comes up on the "out of character" discussions. It gets railed... HARD. The only defense players have given it is from "the old days" of SWG.
One time I was actually going to defend SWG against some railing due to the great experiences I had in the Pre-NGE days. But then I realized what an abortion it became with the advent of the NGE, and the game, despite it's fun days in the past, no longer deserved any defense.

You know, even if they brought back the pre-CU, and did it with my toons as they were in the pre-CU, I'm not sure I'd take them up on it.
Because SOE and LA cannot be trusted.
The bait-and-switch with ToOW just made them dead to me. They raised my hopes with the preNGE ToOW, then dashed them like hurling champagne glasses into a fireplace.
I don't think I can ever forgive the betrayal and the lies. I don't want to do business with people as unethical and dispicable as John Smedley and Julio Torres.

PRE CU ? ONLY if I got back all my stuff and all the people I used to know played too.
I dont want to have to re-grind all that crap in a galaxy where there are so few players.
Honestly, we are the vocal minority, most people who played never posted on the forums and simply left for other games....
I most likely would resub if pre-cu came back. ill reroll my chars and start from scratch. i enjoyed that game so much i would love to start again as we did in the beginning. the game was by far the best mmo and instead of starting new game i would much rather play swg pre-cu or even cu for that matter. something that gave me the freedom to choose my skills and the path i wanted to go down

But, you are right, this issue has been beat to death! I come to this forum every so often when I get bored and it amazes me that people are still on this same issue (or that SWG is even still running).

anyway, I think another company/team workin' on pre-cu servers would appeal to more vets who quit because of CU/NGE rather than S0E doin' it.... we can't trust 'em anymore and if they wanted to get some of us back what stopped 'em from doin' it for the past 2 years or so since CU/NGE came out?
Pre-CU is dead. There maybe a zombie clone one day but it won't really be swg pre-cu ever. Sadly the game I enjoyed to play is gone. I think you need to get use to that and just become a jaded angry vet. The cabal always needs new recruits of hostile internet warriors. Task 1 to join is spam John Smedley. Task 2 is to spam soe's boards with pre-cu ftw posts till you get forum banned. Task 3 is to spam all the internet sights railing on soe. Then your a certified member.
Or was our requirements eat a can of spam and break wind? I always forget. Anyways... good luck with your wierd sit in.

Agree with others, this version of SWG is never coming back, heck, it would be hard to determine exactly where to roll back to...there seems to be some disagreement among the fans over this....

I would'nt expect 200k people coming back but heck if 1000 people showed up on that date to show a player base is still there for pre-cu. lol thats dbl there player base now!!! As far as the emu server how many really are going there? was'nt the player base is what made it fun!! And Is soe really gonna let them do this.

I wonder how many really unsubscribed when i played after house pack there sure was a lot of house's still there. a lot from my old guild too then i saw someone from my old guild and i asked him if they are still playing he said he hasn't seen them for a while but they did come back to make sure there house didnt get destroyed. but if nobody cares about not wanting pre-cu servers back anymore then why did ppl make sure they didnt lose there stuff. Hopes of pre-cu? nahhhh
