Vanguard was selling for $49 !
I was like "Woah".
It should be in the clearance bin with Shadow Bane. Thats selling for $9.99. Thats a decent price, I would have picked it up just to try again in its current state but id rather spend $49 on something I know is better out of the box. Like, take Burning Crusades, Blizzard has a good reputation and I trusted them. I did not mind spending the money because I knew it was going to work as intended out of the box.

who cares? I dont play vanguard, but even if i thought it sucked I wouldnt make a post about how its still not cheap as hell. Whats the point?
True, but what is worse, making such a post or responding to it denouncing it's value?
I dunno... aren't you responding to and trying to denounce the value of my response? lol
lol

i suspect that many of the posts on these forums are made by people who are simply trying to level the MMORPG post level.
Teak
There hasn't been a release to make this version less valuable. Usually, games will drop in price after they've enjoyed a long shelf life and/or expansions (or additional stand-alone companions) have been released.
so...
I was in Best Buy today and saw the Collectors Edition (about 4 of em on the rack) for $89... I laughed as I moved down the isle.
The first three responces to the thread make It worthwhile.
Made me laugh.
TBC wasn't worth the money in my opinion. I already paid $50 for WoW 2 years earlier, then went and spent more money for the exact same game.
TBC should have been a free update.
At least with VG you get an entirely new game for your money. Even if it feels exactly like every other MMO on the market.
Wish Darkfall would release.
Not sure whats going on in the states, but over here in the UK most intelligent stores have dropped the price, enabling me to pick the game up for £4.99 which is about $12 or so. Most stores are just too stupid to drop the price, and most of the shops over here dont understand the concept of an MMORPG which is why one store lost about £500 when they placed empty TBC boxes on the shelf with the serial keys still inside.
hmmm
-*Level UP*-
I wonder how long those have been on the shelf?

Yep, noone can argue that Vanguard failed.
