So i downloaded EQ2..... So far it looks pretty cool. I played EQOA , A LONG TIME AGO. But i wanted to see EQ2 to see if i like it. I just want to know if there is going to be players around my low lvls. Or is it where i have to solo basically the whole game?

Most lower levels will be kind of lonely, although there will be alot of people starting as well. But the quests make it alot of fun even if you are by yourself.

Once you get into the 20's and such you should find alot more people.

If you're really concerned about no one to group with, maybe you should wait until their next expansion comes out.  It will include all previous expansions and a lot of people will buy it and come back.  The newbie zones will be flooded with a lot of players too, rerolling new alts.

I am really just waiting for AoC and for WAR, to try them out. So i thought EQ2 can hold me over till then. But if it is really good, i wll just stick with it. But i guess i cant solo till lvl 20. Hopefully i see alot of players and it isnt dead like in Vanguard.

If you start in one of the new beginner zones, Kelethin or Neriak, you'll see lots of brand-new characters. They might not all be new players, but veterans with new low-level alts can be even more helpful. You won't see as many in the older starting areas, but they're still there. There are characters of all levels active in the game, and I don't have any problems finding a group for my lower-level characters.

I play on the roleplaying servers (Antonia bayle and Lucan D'Lere), which might be a little more populated than the others. Check the server populations to make sure you're not getting your start on an empty one. As others have said, you'll find more groups past level 20, but there isn't much group content before then.

I come from FF 11 so grouping is a big deal for me. But yeah i joined a medium server, i rather it be over populated then under. i havent played EQ in a very long time. Hopefully i still understand whats going on.
