Well... I'm interested in playing one of the newer MMOs that are coming out and having a hard time deciding what I should play. Heres the games I'm considering and the negatives of each. (Anybody can think about the positives of a game they want to get)
Warhammer Online - I heard that this game only has like, 30 pieces of armor per class or something? That theres like 4 tiers of armor and thats it? Can someone confirm or deny this? That would turn me off immediately. Also, its being put out by EA. Another thumbs down.
Age of Conan - Not to say AOC hasn't shown a LOT of what it promises, BUT I still think AOC is trying to add too much stuff into one game. They want single player, unique PVP with City Raiding and Battle Formations, completely redone fighting system thats yet to be proven, unique end-game raiding, player cities and player housing, incorporate conan lore, and on and on and on and on. Doesn't this remind you of those games that promise EVERYTHING and then only deliver half-heartedly on EVERYTHING. IF this games does what it says its going to then I will lay down $50 right away, but I just feel that theres too much stuff they have to do and all of it by release. Thats just too hard.
The Agency - I'm just putting this here in case someone wants to convince me. But with SOE backing and a "casual" feel to the game, The Agency isn't on the top of my list.
Pirate of the Burning Sea - VERY interesting game. It reminds me a lot of EVE without some of the nuisances. My only BIG deal with the game is population. I don't want this to turn into another damned Vanguard. Granted, Vanguard had other problems as well, but population isn't something you can solve with a patch.
Lemme know what you think. Support your game, flame others, whatever you want. Just trying to get some ideas from other people about these games.
Edit: Hey don't feel obligated to only share your opinions about what I posted. If you think theres a game out there that can compete with these games then go ahead and tell me about it. I'm definitley open to any suggestions.

If this are your options. I think Conan is the best one, dont think all they want to put in is too much, just, because lotro is the same that the first of all dont means that the mmorpg will never got something new.
War is the other option, but think it will be, perhaps, most of the same, need to see something else.
So in a beggining Conan didnt take any of my atention but with time I think is just what mmorpg comunity needs, something new... no more clones of l2 (like wow), no more copy of diablo in free mmorpg, no more oriental griding... no more click and wait, no more ... I dont mean this is bad, but, its good to have something where to choose.
Meanwhile, im actually playing cov/coh, think is good enought to take attention, like gw, wow, eve... it can compare with a "new" game like "lotro", so, perhaps you dont need to wait to get what you want.
Anything else?
For a PvE game, I think Gods and Heroes is the next best thing to be released. I don't think you should overlook the chance to open beta and try it for free before it comes out.
The Chronicles of Spellborn is definitely worth checking out if your tired of click-and-wait, tired of gear based games, tired of high fantasy, hell, it's just worth checking out. Tons of info to be found over at tcos.com.
Dovie'andi se tovya sagain ~ Time to toss the dice
Death is light as a feather, duty heavier than a mountain.
Whats click and wait mean? Like click a server and wait in a line? Lil confused. I checked out spellborn and signed up for beta. I'll test it out just to see what its like.
meaning, click on a mob, hit auto attack, wait till dead. referencing eq/wow etc. style of games.
guess i will just focus on the ones the op mentions.
WAR.- well, dont really know about the equipment side of it. i think it has some good concepts going for it, with the integrated pve-pvp missions in the same zone. it has mostly standard mmo races and classes, but with the warhammer ip twist. but. its another fantasy based game, with elves and orcs and wizards and fireballs and swords and blah blah dwarves blah. i liked warhammer, i played tabletop alot. like 10 yrs ago. wish it would have come out a few years back. combat looks kind of ho-hum to me but thats just based on videos. graphics look pretty good, but i keep hearing from everyone i show screenshots to 'it looks like wow'. i think its just the colors. i like the character and environment models, cuz they look like warhammer to me. its just kind of sad though, because when i step back and look at the whole thing, take away the warhammer name and its just another fantasy game with integrated pvp. dunno about you, but for me, im sick of looking at elves and orcs and dwarves. i dont care how great the ip is that they are based off of. should have just went ahead and made the warhammer 40k game and released the fantasy version later after the fantasy trend had died down a bit. either way, you know this game is going to be big. i know a lot of people that are waiting to jump into this one. despite mine and everyone elses opinions, you can at least judge this one for yourself. there is a lot of decent info about the game on their site, and the newsletters. at least, enough to get a basic feel for the gameplay.
Age of Conan- the more video that gets released of the combat, movement, enemies, and environments, the less excited i get. overall i think the game world looks pretty good. i dont think the pve side of the game will be the selling point. i think it will be rather h o-hum. i doubt the pve will be enough to keep people playing. it all depends on how fun the combat system feels, and how good the mass pvp and siege stuff is. town buidling and raiding, guild cities and keeps, and mass pvp battles and sieges are what is going to sell the game.
i thought it was retarded as hell that they put the shot of the topless, ugly as sin character model on the website. ' hey look at our game, we got decapitations, and dungeons that have ugly topless chicks in thongs. whee'. i get its conan, i get its trying to be an m rated game. but damn guys, spend more time working on getting the word out on the combat and the mechanics, and stop showing pictures of the ugly pve side of the game. its not helping.
it just sucks that already they are merging and chopping/changing things left and right to save time and money. i was really excited at first for this game, mainly because of all the proposed character class choices they had up on their website. now it seems, a lot of the classes have been merged in some way down to a single class. like now, instead of having several different rogue type character c hoices, they just have assassin. instead of two seperate specialized ranged classes, they just merge them and give ranger those skills. liberator, halberdier, the fire casting priest (?), the thief, the lotus guy.. all gone, all merged. now, what do we have? another game with classes that practically come right from the generic mmo handbook. with the exception of the mage classes. still something creative there. my only other negative thought is, its being made for xbox and pc. combat and pvp aspects of the game seem better made for the xbox, while the town building, harvesting/crafting and all the other mmorpg crap seems better for the pc. its just weird. it might end up playing better as an xbox game, or with a game pad on your pc. i do see a decent following for this game though. still hard to tell. im still bitter from the crap that sigil pulled with vanguard; promising a whole lot, and delivering a whole lot of nothin. so taking a wait and see on aoc for now.
the agency- hmm. well kinda seems like soe's answer to huxley, honestly. the gameplay videos i saw recently make it look like a fps with cell shaded graphics. i guess they saw team fortress2 and noone lives forever2 and thought 'hey, do one of those'.
havent seen a whole lot of info, but theres at least some video on the website. mostly cut scenes what dont actually do anything to help with figuring out what the game will be like. im guessing it will be more friendly version of huxley, with 2 factions that pve together and pvp as well. i read someting like the goal is to build your own 'agency' of npcs that do everyhing from build gadgets for you, to collect intel, build your hq, and stuff like that. so im guessing it will be pretty solo friendly, with instanced missions and pvp based missions and arenas. it could be ok. i couldnt help but yell ' teamfortress2 ripoff!' when i first saw it though. look at the videos for both games.
Hmm which one would I recommend...

I got into closed beta, got a key and everything, but was never allowed to play? That messed up system turned me off of the game bad. Maybe it was just an error that I got that acceptance email and it wasn't actually meant for me, but still, I is blue
I suggest Age of Conan mainly because it's going to be so different and new to the whole MMo picture.
Total time played: 9125 Days, 21 Hours, 29 Minutes, 27 Seconds
Time played this level: 39 Days, 1 Hour, 24 Minutes, 5 Seconds
i guess i would have to say AoC as well. at least it doesnt use the unreal engine, so it might actually end up having an original look and feel to it. as opposed to.. another game that looks ilke it was made using the unreal engine and thus looks and feels like every other game made using unreal ed.
and the aoc devs have experience with mmos, and some pretty good ideas.
