The Alpha9 multi-gaming clan was formed in 2004, originally a First-person-shooter squad in Joint Operations. Eventually we moved onto Battlefield 2 in 2005 where we enjoyed success in various ladder matches. Then in 2006 we began playing World of Warcraft, some quit after a few months due to not having the time/inclination for end-game, some several months later, and some still play to this day - this resulted in a lot of us ending up in different games as divisions, such as F.E.A.R, Battlefield 2, IL-2 Sturmovik, Neverwinter Nights and most recently Vanguard.
Due to our bonds in friendship, however. We've stuck together despite being divided, thusly we have decided to move forward as a multi-gaming clan - setting up divisions in various games while maintaining the core of our community.
What we offer:
- Stability: We're not a fly-by-night clan like so many in on-line games, GNC will be built upon an already strong foundation and you can rest assured your achievements within the clan, and the friendships you make will not disappear overnight due to disbandment.
- Teamplay: Our members are all about working together and communicating, helping eachother out and pooling resources whenever possible.
- Freedom: While teamplay is very much encouraged, you won't chasticed for choosing to do your own thing once in a while, nor will we be putting heavy demands on people to attend raids and such.
- Flexibility: We have a range of playstyles within our ranks, some of us are fairly casual with limited time to play, while others have more time and a more hardcore nature - you can be sure that whatever your pace of play may be, there'll always be people alongside you.
What we want:
You should be:
- At least 18 years old.
- Based in Europe (or able to work your play-schedule around GMT, if you live elsewhere)
- Able to speak and understand English.
- Respectful to fellow clanmates.
- Willing to use Ventrilo.
- Able to work well within a team.
You should not:
- Act immaturely. (at least not to the point where it annoys other people!)
- Be selfish.
- Behave in a way that might give the clan a bad name. (e.g. Cheat, Scam, Verbally abuse other players)
Guild Aspirations:
PvP is going to be a big part of GNC's agenda in Age of Conan, becoming a powerful force and conquering as much as we can will be our main purpose. But it will not be our sole focus. We'll also be looking to achieve things in PvE, clearing dungeons et cetera. Though hardcore PvE raiding and the like is most definitely not something we're going for here. Roleplay will be encouraged, none of us are hardcore roleplayers but we appreciate the immersion factor of talking in character. Those choosing to roleplay more extensively will be supported and facilitated where possible.
Crafting is going to be important also and we'll be making sure we have skilled smiths to keep our soldiers in the best equipment.
Exploration and Socialising - Even the most diehard fighter needs to kick back in the tavern or go for a hike into the unknown to unwind once in a while! Time will be taken out to engage in more lighthearted endeavors such as these, once in a while.

Likewise! As stated, we're not sure if we'll be on PvP FFA (if there will even be such thing) or not. Gonna decide nearer the time! But yeh, we'll be welcoming both Allies, and honorable foes in equal measure!
