MMORPG Personality Analyzer with Stats

Many of you are probably familiar with the Bartle Test--it's the test which analyzes MMORPG personality based on Achiever, Socializer, Killer and Explorer axes.  The test has recently been updated to include richer statistics: you can now find out which game that other people play the most based on personality type, and even find out which guilds might match your personality.

Take test here:  http://www.guildcafe.com/bartle.php

My own  results:

KASE (Achiever 73.33%, Explorer 33.33%, Killer 80.00%, Socializer 40.00%)

KASE players tends to enjoy the PVP aspect most of all, but also likes to pit themself against all the challenges of the PVE environment as well--although the latter is often a means to an end. This type of player will often enjoy PVP that focuses on their skill as an individual contributor (duels, and so forth) more than team-based PVP.

According to the stats, my playstyle type correllates to the following games most often:

   1. Shadowbane (18.2%)

   2. Asheron's Call (14.4%)

   3. Lineage II (13.9%)

   4. Darkfall (12.1%)

   5. Runescape (11.9%)

   6. Warhammer: Age of Reckoning (11.6%)

   7. Ultima Online (11.5%)

   8. Planetside (11.5%)

   9. Battlefield 2 (11.5%)

  10. Battlefield 1942 (10.3%)

AEKS players are interested in the player-versus-environment aspect of the game more than anything else. They are often soloists who want to achieve and see what the world has to offer. Often, they find groups cumbersome and PVP to be more an annoyance than a feature.

    Breakdown: Achiever 66.67%, Explorer 53.33%, Killer 46.67%, Socializer 33.33%

somewhat true I guess, at least the group/soloist part, I enjoy pvp alot tho

some questions were just odd, and a couple made no sense

    EAKS (Achiever 60.00%, Explorer 86.67%, Killer 40.00%, Socializer 13.33%)

    1. Asheron's Call (3.8%)
    2. Lord of the Rings Online (2.7%)
    3. World of Warcraft (2.6%)
    4. Guild Wars (2.6%)
    5. Dark Age of Camelot (2.5%)

    7. Battlefield 2142 (2.3%)
    8. Anarchy Online (2.2%)
    9. Final Fantasy XI (2%)
    10. Everquest (1.9%)

Interesting that there don't seem to be any large groups of EAKS in anyone game.

They also have a "Online Gamer Playstyle Survey" test as well I think was kind of  informative

    Strategist-Creator

This combination is also referred to as the Toymaker playstyle.

You are the go-to person for cool stuff. You enjoy understanding all of the nuances of the game, and want to leave their own imprint on it. They like to create things for games.both in and out of the environment. Inside games, they are crafters and city-builders; they might also make mods and skins for games.

Kind of interesting because in most games I usually like trying out crafting as one of the first things as well and usually reskin or mod the default UI to any game that lets me because I like my UI functional but minimal design at the same time.

The game list results of the Bartle Test would have been better if it had taken the Online Gamer Playstyle Survey into account as well.

I like the "Online Gamer Playstyle Survey" better actually, I am a:

    Organizer-Supporter. (Impresario)

This combination is also referred to as the Impresario playstyle. You provide a foundation for other players to enjoy the game. You tend to help other people achieve their goals before you do things for yourself, hoping to reap later rewards in the form of loyalty and dedication to growing a guild or clan.

    Score result: SEAK.

SEAK players are usually very interested in the the 'total experience' of a virtual world--meeting other people and finding the unique places within it. They don't care much for PVP or levelling, but meeting up with online friends to see new parts of the world is usually fun and exciting.

    Score result: Supporter-Creator.

This combination is also referred to as the Quartermaster playstyle. You have fun when you make the game fun for others. You tend to be fairly social, and you've taken the time to learn how to make things for other players, and you're interested in playing roles that allow you to support groups. You've been known to work on creating things inside games, only to give them away to help their friends.

Well, I wasn't expecting the Quartermaster playstyle, I've never really tried a class like that.  Suppose I need to get on it then.

KSEA players often seek out PVP in a game, but they are looking to socialize with and form alliances with other players who are interested in doing the same. They often seek out guilds or clans that organize formal PVP events, or work on group strategies and tactics.

    Breakdown: Achiever 33.33%, Explorer 46.67%, Killer 66.67%, Socializer 53.33%

As for my game experiences i found these stats to be quite accurate.(atleast for me)

I think I'm too analytical for that test.  A lot of the questions didn't even seem to properly apply to the reality of playing mmorpgs.

Like that one...if a monster is chasing you would you:

    1. ask a friend to help you kill it.

    2.  Hide somewhere safe.

Weellllll....depending on the game I'd probably either hit a zone line or just run untill it gets tethered back.  And then I might ask a friend to help me kill it later.  I pick things apart like that and it skews my score.  Of course I understand what each answer will mean for my final score but then if I'm adjusting my answers for a desired outcome I'm not taking the test honestly.

Anyway, I tried to give the best, honest answers I could and it got me total wrong.  Maybe I'll take it again and deliberately steer it towards the type of player I think I am and see what happens.

Hurm, interesting, according to the test I am an Achiever.

    1. Matrix Online (8.9%)

    2. Age of Empires (6.8%)

    3. Half-Life 2 (6.5%)

    4. Asheron's Call (6.1%)

    5. Age of Empires II (5.7%)

    6. City of Heroes (5.6%)

    7. Asheron's Call 2 (5.5%)

    8. Everquest 2 (5.4%)

    9. Anarchy Online (5.3%)

    10. Command and Conquer (any)

Never played Matrix Online, but I did play AoE, CoH (which was great) and C&C. I hear Matrix was quite a disaster, or not?

I think this is the second time I got AKES so I guess its accurate, not sure on the second one as I answered neutral mostly.

AKES players like to be the best-of-the-best at everything the game has to offer.

They like to be high on the ladders of whatever metrics the game uses, including

PVP. They like the best gear, the most power, and they love being the 'first' at

something. Their prowess in PVP is generally supported by a large degree of

understanding and posession of the best equipment and skills.

I was determined to be a SAEK. The funny thing is that I only had 13% killing and the games they suggested were all FPS/RTS games that revolve around PVP. It seems like the PKers/PVPers went in and rigged the suggested games list so the top games for SAEK are all PVP games XD
