PC vs. Xbox 360?

lacklusterlackluster Member Posts: 20
Now that we have to pick a poison, what will you decide on?  It’s a tough call for me. The PC version could easily be under populated and hack-crazy. On the other hand, I prefer a mouse and keyboard to a controller and enjoy PC communities much more than their 360 counterparts. What do you think?

For xbox360 of course....the controls will be very well adapted and with the Xbox headset that comes with the console...it will be very nice to chat with voice ^^

And there won't be cheaters like with the PC version and there will be much more loyalty when server maintenance is concerned and other things like that.............and of course the game will have better graphics for xbox360 ^^

    Cheers

PC users will have an advantage with aiming, I can't aim to save my life on the xbox :)

Oh its very easy to aim with the xbox controller ^^ you just have to get used to it........

Halo is very played around the world...and its very easy to aim.....to see how easy it is....ShadowRun is a game for xbox360 and PC and both can be played in the same servers....so as you see theres no disadvantage to play with the xbox controller....lol if shadowrun players will play together (PC and 360) its because its almost the same as playing with mouse+keyboard if you get used to it

    Cheers

The first I had heard of this game was reading the OP's post... so I did some research on it and decided that if I were to buy it I would choose my Xbox 360 to play it on, BUT I won't be buying it. I will be too busy killing people in WAR :)

Probably PC, mainly because I do not own a 360 and have no plans to buy one

arent the Xbox and PC players on the same servers?  if so that means u gotta deal with hackers anyway.  as for me i never liked Xbox (could never play it with that chunky controller) and thus dont have one.  if the game turns out to be a good one i might play.

    Just a hypothetical musing....

Wouldn't it be great if PC gamers could play against console gamers in the same game environment.  I suspect that only Microsoft would be behind this sort of thing as they would benefit most from it, but why does this seem so far fetched.  I, for one, would love the chance to blast these ham-fisted, Madden-worshiping console gamers away with the good ol' WASD and mouse.  I can dream... and hope to one day get the chance.

I really fail to see why they are bringing consoles into the mmo market....and being 2 different platforms theirs just no way servers should EVEr be combined in any way....cause both versions of the games are entirly different so it will always be unbalanced between the 2.

Theirs already enough moaning and b*tching going around in mmo's , it would only bring more of this nonsense.

I dont know much about Huxley, the graphics are pretty awesome, but thats pretty much all that I know. I my self picked PC because my PC has better graphics than my 360 and I like to play MMOs in my PC anyway. The only thing that would make me want to play any MMO on my 360 would be my HDTV, and I also have the Xbox 360 controller adapter in my computer so I can use my wireless 360 controller to play games on my pc, if I wanted to (even though it would be alot of work) I could hook up my pc to my HDTV and use a 360 controller but than what would be the point of playing in the PC

"Webzen is hoping to change this (something we're more than happy to encourage) when they release Huxley to the world later this year on the PC and Xbox 360. There's no cross-platform play, but both systems should get the same game when all is said and done."

I belive in halo and shadowrun there is an auto aim help feature enabled for people playing with a joypad on the 360 its helps even the balance out a bit..

Most people go on about the xbox 360 being HD and all that.. well most moniotrs these days are quite happy running HD and a lot can run at a higher resolution.. so no advantage there really..

PC all the way for me it can do a lot mroe things than jsut play games and movies...

360 and PC arent different, a 360 has same parts that a PC has, Pentium chips, ram video card HD etc. You can also hook up a USB keyboard to your 360 and or a usb mouse if you wanted to, so really I dont see why the games would be totally different. I think it would be the same game but with slight very minor changes like scripts and stuff like that.

"Shadowrun is the first game to allow Xbox 360 and PC users to play on the same servers. The game seems to work just fine on both platforms, and there's almost no indication that a player is using a PC or a 360 to play. Rather than limit auto-aim to just the 360 or to controller users, as the Vista version of Halo 2 did, Shadowrun gives a little bit of it to everyone, which is, of course, pumped up with the addition of the SmartLink ability. This might frustrate PC mouse-and-keyboard users, as it feels like your aim is being taken out of your hands a bit; and if you've been playing PC shooters with any regularity, you probably don't need the help. But regardless of how weird it can feel, it does at least feel balanced. "

I dont like the way they enable auto ain it kinda makes the game pointless..

anyway yes the 360 does have similar parts to a pc but is designed for playing games and palying them with minimal loading time... this means reducing texture sizes adn many other things.. just take a look at halo 2 on the pc looks better than the xbox version bit it still looks terrible.. most xbox ports on the pc look bad as well because they lack the quality a pc can put out... (i have an xbox 360 and pc)

Also a pc can do many other things.. its a no brainer for me, I do have an xbox but it was half price so i could not say no haha.

Now maybe if i was only interested in playing games and nothnig else then i might stick with the xbox..

Well, it's a known fact that Mouse and Keyboard is much better then Controller for FPS games. As for which version I am getting, it will probably be the 360 as I do not have a high end pc.. But, I would be surprised if they did not support cross play between the pc and 360.

I think it is silly to say that it is out of the question that console and PC will ever be able to play against each other.  Or that they should for that matter. Bringing the two sides of gaming together would benefit both sides of the coin- game-makers and game-players.

Bringing PC and console games together would expand the limits of game design and force creativity onto the shoulders of the developers by forcing them to cater to both audiences.  The resulting hybrid game design would be a fresh new view at potentially stale subject matter.

Maybe I'm just an optimist, but mainly I just want to get blasted by more people.. I have bad aim.
