Simutronics showing Hero's Journey at E3 2007?

gtakitogtakito Member CommonPosts: 3

Curious if anyone knows if Simutronics will be at this year's E3 next week. I know in the past they have had demos shown there. It would be really great for simu to put demo videos online on official site or gametrailers or somewhere. Anyone in the know able to say definitively if simu will be there and if they would be open to showing off some demo video?

I don't remember seeing simutronics on the list of participants that was released a while ago. This year's E3 is supposed to be a lot different from past years. Its smaller with fewer companies present and a more restricted list of attendees. I think the E for All (?) expo in the fall will be bigger and more geared towards the general public. Maybe simu will attend that one?

good question. If they actually show up with progress made since last year, that would put a lot of those "vaporware" fears to rest. If anything, I suspect Simu would at least be there to showcase their engine... Seems like its been there focus as of late...

They didn't stop it - they just shrunk it a bit and I'm not sure that the public are allowed entry anymore (or if they are, it is in vastly reduced numbers).

As for Hero's, I can't really decide whether I think they are going to be there or not. I think they probably will be, but it's impossible to be sure...

Well according to this: http://games.ign.com/articles/793/793082p1.html - they're not on the roster

And according to this: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6173765.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;0 - a lot of developers weren't even invited this year. They're trying to cut down on the size of E3 this year.

Yay... another trade show only for the uber-companies... I'm so happy...

that sucks. now we won't know if they are M.I.A. or if they just weren't invited.

Would be nice if they were at E3 but I guess they have more important things on their minds. If E3 is becoming elitist then thats a real shame how will the small guys ever get a chance .... real real shame.

They most likely just plain were not invited.  If this is the way E3 is deciding to go, they will have to realize they will most likely be getting less popular as well.  There are many gaming conventions within the US to replace it for the Americans, and it will give over seas conventions their chances to shine more than E3.  Might spread things out..but it will bring eyes to otherwise over shadowed places.

    From Wired

"Only about 30 of the largest video game software and hardware companies are attending, down from the hundreds that packed the event in previous years. Also missing will be the army of small-time bloggers, zealous game fans and others who somehow managed to infiltrate the trade-only event."

Yah, if there are only a few being invited then Simu probably wasn't even considered. What show do you think will take it's place as the all-purpose gamers Heaven?

I think I heard they'll set up across from the Darkfall booth.
