I'll try to be as serious and honest as possible here, but no promises.

I want: (some pretty steep requirements here for a game)

    1. First and foremost, I want the game to be fun.
    2. I want the game to be fun if i have 5 mins, but also fun if i have a day off and have lots of "extra" (hehe) time.
    3. I want the game to be fun just to chat in.  There are things that make chat more fun.
    4. I want the actual part of the game you play to be fun.  Surprisingly enough a lot are rather dull.
    5. I want to be able to have extra fun if i bring someone else to have fun with. :)
    6. I want the game to be fun right off the bat, at the end, and fun all the way through the game.
    7. I want extra side stuff to do that's fun, besides what you normally would do in the game.
    8. I want to be able to listen to 'my' music.  Let's face it, it's not very fun to hear the same song over and over like on the radio.
    9. I want the game to run smooth, without problems that might hinder me having fun.
    10. Did I mention that I'd like the game to be fun?

By the way,  If you know what game that I'm looking for, let me know. :)

    1. No grind. who ever came up with the idea -that people would enjoy spending months and months grinding -should be shot.

2.Large player customization. Perhaps if they let allowed people to upload their own character skin or something along those lines. Most (if not all) MMORPG's feel like your in a shop, when your designing your character. The whole thing feels to sqaure and severely lacks individuality.

    3. Lots of  classes and lots of races. I hate seeing classes being merged, but having lots of different classes would be good. More then 18 base classes with an upgrade later on in the game.

    4. A huge world. I enjoy games that have an element of adventure in them.

    5. Excellent graphics.

    6. Lots and lots and lots and lots of skills and techniques and powers.

7.A big mature community is great.

    8. Good quests. I hate seeing these crap quests. Its the sort of thing that puts me off games like WoW and Guild wars. WHile they are both good games in their own right, i hate doing its quests. Its like doing chores.

    9. Even races and classes. none of this "Dark Elves receive +5 shadow resistance"  bull crap.

    10. A game that is easy to win but takes time to complete.

    Ballistic!

    1. Sci-Fi setting.  Elves and fairies and dragons and spells are lame.

    2. Profession-less and class-less open skill system.

    3. NO LEVELS!

    4. NO LEVELS!

    5. NO LEVELS!

    6. A total experience.  I don't want a world of just combat or just exploration or just socialization.  I want a game world where I can go to concert one day, hang out in a cantina the next, and then go destroy some enemy assets the day after.

    7. An actually arcing storyline that is updated frequently so the gameworld doesn't seem static.

    8. An extremely robust guild interface and intra-guild alliance/enemy system.

    9. Player housing and cities.

    10. NO LEVELS OR CLASSES!

    1. A setting un-hindered by genre definitions.

    2. Meaningful content in all realms, PvP, PvE, exploration, crafting, whatever, all should be meaningful and viable options for advancement.

    3. Throw out levels.

    4. Intelligently designed community aspects.  Guild/clan management, LFG, friendships, alliances, etc.

    5. An economic system that relies very heavily, if not exclusively, on player characters.

    6. No trinity (tank, healer, damage).

    7. Robust, multi-faceted mission/quest system where multiple paths are present and lead to varying conclusions.

    8. Intuitive combat system(s).  Easy to understand and use, but with exceptional room for growth and development, particularly while working in groups.

    9. Solo and group content.

    10. Mini-games.  Fun stuff to waste time on if I don't want to participate in any particular type of content.  Fun diversions, perhaps tied into the economic system with a form of gambling for parts of it.

I guess if we're stopping at 10 I'll end there.

It sounds like you want an FPS with large server populations, not an mmo

    Very simple...

The best at any gameplay would be the peoples who do said gameplay.

    So best soloers are soloers.

    Best groupers are groupers.

    Best PvPers are PvPers.

    ...

Best noobs are noobs. (level cap on every zone is the first step to allow that, which would in fact please the noobs a LOT more then they will say, but they would appreciate to be able to master an area...we all crave for this...and even if they don't speak loudly about it...I know for a fact they would really love to rule a part of the gameworld...and honestly...the fact they rule noobish areas and take pride on it only make me smile gently, as I recognize my geekiness to a lower extand...)

See, if the devs developp ANY gameplay, they have to make sure that the peoples who partake in it can master it throught it.  If you are not ready to such commitment, then don't put a lame version of that gameplay at all, you will harm more then developp.  See, if someone who is not willing to play a gameplay master said gameplay, he won't subscribe, this is extra catering, he doesn't care since he isn't willing to earn it the right way anyway...while the peoples who really care about this gameplay and are willing to put the effort to earn it inside said gameplay, if they can't, they will be burned.

If this point is understandood, then everything is understood.  My 9 other points would all be about details, such as the extensive use of instancing, or level cap per zone and unlimited levels and so on, but all these other points, they are so far behind this first point, they don't really matter...

    1. GM driven storylines, ie battles, town invasions, etc.

    2. Guild built cities or strongholds

    3. The ability to lay siege to aforementioned cities in a GvG enviroment

    4. nunchucks, damn it

    5. Mounted combat

    6. Ship to Ship combat

    10. For a change, id like to see an mmo that lives up to expectations.

    1. I want the fun start IMMEDIATELY. I dont want to consult walkthroughs,

websites or have a monthly schedule with my uber guild to get anything done,

I want the game to TELL ME where what fun starts.

    2. I want MANY classes and races, and cool ones.

    3. I want quests which are interesting and meaningful, not like WOW, EQ2 and all

the shit, where I NEVER read any of those totally shallow quest stories. I dont need

Pulitzer-stories, but a WEE BIT more than what we currently have.

    4. I want CHOICES, many. Choices of how I look (so no WOW for me!), choices

how my quests can be solved asf. Not only oneway choices.

    5. I want the landscape be beautiful, with atmosphere and soul. LOTRO does

    that good, for instance.

    6. I want good combat animation, and an interesting combat system. NOT the typical

old school "we give you 5 skillbars of skills which you mash all through like a madman"

humbug, better few but meaningful skills. With REAL impact, not those symbolic combat

animations. I want swords and shields to clash!

    7. I want servers with different rulesets. Hardcore, casual, RP ENFORCED! Easy PVP,

hardcore PVP, to fill all peoples needs and no endless debates about hardcore or

    casual erupt.

    8. I want simulated life. Kinda like in SWG. You can build a house, a city, you can

marry, all that stuff. Having kids would be nice. Built ships (or starships, as the case is.)

I want ALL aspects of a life be covered, much more than merely combat. Also like non

combat profession (entertainers), so I have a VAST diversity of things to do besides

    only kill kill kill.

    9. I want voiceover, for ALL NPCs!

    10. I want an animated, living world. Kids playing chase, guards mumbling, merchant yelling,

bird flying up, ALL OF IT. No more sterile beauties like Vanguard pls.

People don't ask questions to get answers - they ask questions to show how smart they are. - Dogbert

    1.  Huge explorable gameworld.

    2.  Great character customization.

    3.  Variety of gear, environment, NPCs, etc.

    4.  No levels, original and groundbreaking skill-tree instead.

    5.  Regular updates to story and content.

    6. Multiple colourful races to pick from

    7. Deep, engaging storyline.

    8. Any well-thought-out setting - sci-fi, fantasy, other...

    9. PvP as well as PvE requiring skill and speed, not only gear/exp.

    10. Polished, finished game with few [or none, if possible] bugs, lag etc.

    1. Seamless world (No shards, no instances) that is true to scale (No more theme park!).

    2. Procedural control of npcs (CA rulesets and etc) to produce reasonable behaviors (no more standing still after respawns, in fact no respawns in the normal sense of the word...).

    3. Player driven economy (Yes, all items made by users for users!).

    4. NO RAID CONTENT, EVER (No more "l00k at mah pok3m0nz!!1!!!" anymore, okay?).

    5. Realistic, but "artistic" character/npc/world stylings (Like, maybe you look at those old paintings by Monet and Michaelango(sp?) and stuff... for like... inspiration?).

    6. Skills-based character advancement (No more mage, tank, etc defaults. Let me explore the options, even if they turn out to be bad ones.).

    7. Procedural control over quest/task systems (similar to #2 in that it follows if the mobs are not static, then the quests can't be static either...).

    8. More tools for GMs and developers to make more content and events on a reasonable time-table (As a geek, this is what I think makes most MMOs the suck, the GMs have to patch every time they want to do a special event, why not make the tools at the start of development to do that without patching every time? Hmmmm?).

    9. Player controlled towns, excluding newbie towns (follows with #3).

    10. LESS Playboy Bunny models for the females and less Chippendale models for the males (I'm tired of these things, I feel like I'm playing Ken or Barbie when I play most MMOs... GEEZ!).

    *shrugs*

1 PVP and also Dueling options in same factions etc.

2 Sci-Fi Setting: i'm just plain bored of the fantasy world, over saturation!

3 Unless its a large raid - No Instances!

4 Skill System as opposed to picking a class system

5 Lots of races to pick from, perhaps even new unique races

6 A large gaming world with much to explore

7 Mounts / Vehicles... Flying Mounts / Jet packs / planes / gliders - various modes of transportation - dependant on level of course

8 Arenas where both sides can come in and watch but not fight - and spectate on battles either 1 vs 1 or teams vs teams - ala colloseum

    9 Regular support and updates

    10 Shadowrun for MMORPG !
