WARHAMMER, Dynamic Vs Static

Warhammer is going to offer a Dynamic gaming experience.  Not a PvE Static experience.

It's advertised as such, it's been blared loudly "This is how it is".  Why would you want to change that PVE players?

Do you really need for every game to center around static, boring repeating gameplay?  Which all PVE is in the end.  Learn the "system" of the encounter, wash rinse repeat.  The only real challenges are getting enough people to do this over and over and over for DKP and being the first to some new content.

After that, it's ALWAYS THE SAME.  I have run Baron at least 50 times, and every encounter was always the same.

WAR is going to provide a dynamic gameplay, a gameplay so unique and different that each time you and your cohorts step into an area it's going to be different, and it's going to change.

I think, in the end, that's what these calls for more PVE centric gameplay are all about, fear of being forced to play in a game that isn't a scripted story with a fairly ensured outcome.

I am so ready for WAR to release I'm saving for a 2k self built rig just to play it.

As much as i like RvR, there are times when there's no action, so it would be nice to have a PvE game to go to during the lulls

Though I don't want EQs/WoW raid treadmill of gearing up to fight a boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss to gear up to fight a higher boss, etc.

In DAoC there was always something going on in the rvr area, it was just a matter of finding it.

WAR fixes that by making the pvp zones the quest zones.  There is always going to be something going on and there will always be people out there doing said stuff.

BS, I'm playing right now, and there are nights when you cannot find a group even if you're a healer or mezzer.

Heh, yeah well daoc has what, 30k players in the US playing nightly?

Can't compare a game in it's twilight to new game. If there isn't enough PVP going on I'm sure they'll do something.

Actualy you can compare, as I play on a server that has a peak population of about 2700....there are just times in every game when nothing is happening.

DAoC isn't a new game though, I doubt that kind of downtime during normal playing hours. Not 3am- (like i guess) 8am. I don't think you'll be seeing much empty RvR areas, because alot more people are gonna play this game than the amount that are playing DAoC right.

Umm, you do understand that 2700 on one server is about the average high population for most MMOs?

Your talk about not a lot of people playing DoAC is irrelivant.

Most people have guild groups, etc, and sometimes it's just impossible to find a group, so having pve to go do is a nice alternative.

You can always join up in an Instanced session and any holes that exist between numbers on each side are filled in with Dogs of War. Dogs of War is it's very own army in Warhammer, so they have as much lore to pull from as the main 6 races. If you don't want instanced combat, you can always go hit up one of the 300 public quests that also contribute towards your side's victory points. I doubt there will ever be a day when you can't do "anything at all".
