Tbh, it are all things that should have been there when they launched the game or at least where said to be patched more then a year ago... really why wait soooooooo freakin long..... and on a side note.... whatever happend to NEW CONTENT??? Kittin lair, spires etc etc... only new content added was over a year ago and where outposts not even functiong half the way they intended.

(from what i can gather and what i know)
Since GF took over and nevrax became GameForge:Paris there have been a shift in priorities. Instead of new content to keep players in, they are maticulously going through the game, making it more polished to encourgae new players in. They are tweaking the Rang system, 1 hand system, they have changed the speed which players regen health and starting health levels. They are working on missions post level 20 etc tec.
The problem is Nevrax went BUMP becuase it couldnt get enough new players in. The old players just accepted the way things were becuase 'It's Ryzom'. I'd seen MANY new players leave within a month. the changes i see comming from GF:Paris seem to be aimed at keeping new players for longer.
The way i see it is:
There is only so much they can do to bring/keep new players. once they;ve done that, they will work on new content. It's easier to get a player to return by telling them of new content then to tell a new player that once they have a few 250's they can play with currently new (but soon to be 'older' stuff)
Just my 2 cents

And every month more vets leave the game, think about that
You may not like to hear this, but from a business pov, vets hardly matter. In this day and age of short attention spans, any customer subbed over more than 6 - 8 months quits being profitable; why cater to them when they could unsub at any given time now the 'new and shiny' has worn? Bringing in new blood and keeping their attention for those first 3 - 6 months is way more profitable and easier to cater to.
When GF bought out Nevrax, various vets understood GF could technically close Ryzom's servers for a few months and 'redesign' the game NGE-style if they actually wanted, they sure have the cash for it. But they choose not to; which shows they care for the potential this game has and the communities that have taken root there. Polishing and fixing the core systems of the game means they plan for longevity and a solid gaming experience, focusing on apeal for newer players means they plan on ensuring profits and later on expanding. Where Nevrax failed due to ever-increasing debts, they may just pull this one off as Gameforge France/SARL (I never remember which one they are) with the financial backing and management of Gameforge AG.
We as vets may not like being ignored, but the cold hard truth is we matter little in the grand design. I'm still thankful my precious game didn't get NGEd or downright canned. For the veterans that have left, fair enough, good gaming to them wherever they go next. When I loose interest I'll probably move on as well, we all choose how to spend our own money.
In my opinion, They are getting rid of the bugs first and then they will concentrate on new things.
Why implement new stuff if the base game is faulty? With anything in life, you must first have a firm foundation on which to build, before continuing with upgrades and expansions.

Where is the basis of the information in this post? Have you read/thought about what you wrote to see if it backs up your main points? It makes no sense and is extremely contradictory.

Rubbish! It is just common sense and makes no contradictions. I can only presume that you think that the supposed low value of vets' opinions is contrary to Gameforge's development focus upon core systems ... (and Kyerna used the word "longevity", which may be part of your confusion)? Have you read/thought about what you wrote to see if it backs up your point? What seems clear (from their own scant communications, and common sense) is that Gameforge is focused upon winning new subscribers and encouraging them to stay - improving longevity. All of the current development projects appear to support this hypothesis - I refer you to the link in the OP for pertinent examples.
