Simple... a world that isn't linear and has exploration/adventures... Enemies should still be able to deal some amount of damage to players even if they're much lower in levels... Puzzles, platforming, secrets, and stuff ( I have some hopes for these because of the little stuff they have like the mushroom changing players into mushrooms)... But yea, having some extras that stand out really makes the world seem alive (ex: house full of cats in LOTRO that I saw on youtube, or look at Dofus, with all its secrets, puzzles, places to explore and such )...
Note - I'm disappointed in combat, but since no other upcoming mmo or current mmos have any really decent combat... I'm going to lay off of it...(TCOS has a different sort of combat, but I'm not so happy with it either, with the way it worked out...)... Just my speculation from what I see, I've played none of these games that I've mentioned...

According to developers if you spend a lot of time in certain areas hunting a certain type of monster, the monsters develop and adapt and change to become more difficult over time. So as you get stronger and higher level, so do they. They have not gone TOO indepth just yet on this detail, but it seems like it will be a great feature so far.

Pure hell if it is a Lineage 2 style grinder of a game... lol Fighting the same damn ants for 6 months to get 5 levels. *shudder*
Yea, grinding is to be minimal in this game. They want to balance out pure xp grinding, and then just questing for xp. They are looking to make sure its not strongly one or the other, and that making progress is not too slow.

Same developer different game. Lineage is NC's flagship and L3 is in the works. AION is not Lineage's bastard cousing or anythign like that. Its a different game with a different concept. Yes L2's grind was steep but if you had a good group it was a fun game. Clan wars ftw. I guess well just have to wait and see how it rly is once it comes out. No point in discrediting a game before its even in a beta stage.
nah i dont think rangers should get pets because it wouldnt match the style of the gameplay, rangers should be doing good dps and if they get a pet it would be hard to kill them in pvp and easy to lvl cause u could be maybe killing two at a time. (depends on the pet)
Ranger is a utility class with many tricks up its sleeve, such as laying traps and sniping from afar. It's a well-rounded class with both melee and ranged skills as well as an ability to heal itself. Careful assessment of the situation is needed for a ranger to shine, for its many abilities can as easily get in the way for an unskilled player.
Doesn't seem like much of a DPSer. Of course, if they put further customization with skill trees, you could spec in different roles.

From what I have read in previous interviews from NCSoft... all job classes in Aion have the ability to deal massive damage depending on the situation, and all classes have the ability to DPS if they so choose. That's not saying that you would want to use your party's only healer to DPS alongside the assassin and warrior. BUT the healer, mp allowing, can throw a few dps spells out there. And the Ranger class, from the videos, I have seen is in fact a DPS class such as that of the warrior and the assassin. One can see evidence of the Ranger's DPS skills in the Ranger PvP videos from G* and E3.

I really think that a housing system should be estbalished for Aion. This game looks flawless and homes made Asherons Call and Horizons very popular at the time. I would like to more about the crafting system, haven't seen much of anything about it.

Aion already has a housing system established but they dev's said that it would be different from any housing system in previous games.

They have already stated that Aion will not have grinding so you don't have to worry.
